There were several that I liked, with WestPhillyPunisher's as #2. But my vote is going to Iron Maiden this week.

'Jo Jo' on that page kind of looks like 'JJ' from the TV series "Good Times" .

Tallying the votes, I get:
1 vote: Ajax_X, CaptCleghorn, Enigmatic Undead, Greg Hatcher, Kirby101, SquirrelMan, and worstblogever
2 votes: Iron Maiden and Scott Taylor
3 votes: MRP
and tied with four votes each: Nschornhorst and Shalla Bal!
Could we get a tie-breaker please?

Thank you so much to all those who voted for me and for the honorable mentions as well! Great covers from all! I'll get the new contest up in a minute.

Congratulation to Nschornhorst for a cover which has a strong streak of marvelousness. It was the initial crazy Archie teamup and the fame the book got for its unusual cast combination is well earned. The wildness is a powerful reason we read comics.
As to what the captain has learned the week, youtes are a big part of comics. While many of us are superhero junkies, the "teen" flavoring of many series looked like a weird creation of the older generation telling stories about teens to a younger generation and coming up with a bizarre miss. Of course, this was also entertaining. And they still haven't gotten the heck off my lawn.
And I thank The Darknight Detective for their vote. It is much appreciated.
Congrats Nschornhorst!
And thanks to foxley, Kirby101, Javasaurus, and Scott Taylor for voting for my Junior cover
Yes, the Fox studio produced teen humor comics that were somewhat risqué. And for this particular Junior cover, I like that the guy (Junior) is the object of the "gaze" too.
Isn't Al Feldstein's linework on that cover exquisite? He of course would go on to EC. I love his work!
