Are you exited or not with Hickman x-men

Hickman shines brightest when he's developing the world and the mythos. It would really be nice to see mutants return to form and have their own mythos other than extinction plots or omega-level mutant madness plots.


So long as editorial doesn't do something like make an event called "Days of Future Past, Present, and Future: Someone Buy Us a Clock", I'll be excited.

Cautiously optimistic, but just a little worried that the X-Men will come out of it not being the X-Men I know and love. Not thrilled after hearing who Hickman's favorite X-Men are, which reveals enough about him to make me nervous.

In the past, Hickman was pretty vocal that he wouldn't want to write the X-Men because there were too many editorial dictates.

We live in a world where a guy got a "Veto" on "Wonder Woman" covers, but folks don't buy into that Hickman would sign on with that sort of thing in place.

White is still the editor. Hickman is a big name writer, but he still answers to White. And if recent Twitter discussions with White are anything to go by, White still wants things done HIS way, which means Hickman has to work around those constraints.
