I LOVE that scene, especially when the "animation" from the TV commercial parodied the Superfriends.
It was amusing when Billy was so against Mary having a friendship with her.
One of my favorite interactions was between Mary Marvel and Captain Atom. After Nate introduced himself, Mary flew off while wanting to continue to have children and thinking that interacting with Nate would cause harm towards her well-being.
One of my all-time favorite images of Mary Marvel:
My name is Wally West. I"m the fastest man alive. I"m the Flash.
Favorite Heroes - 1-Flash/Wally West, 2-Superman, 3-Green Lantern/Hal Jordan, 4-Nightwing, 5-Hawkman, 6-Firestorm, 7-Supergirl/Linda Danvers, 8-Zatanna, 9-Robin/Tim Drake
LOL!
I believe Bob Oksner drew only two Mary Marvel stories in the 1970s, but his version of Mary is my all-time favorite.

I hated evil Mary as much as the next guy, but in her defense she *was* under the influence of one of the Apokolips New Gods. Desaad, I think it might've been? And before that, in Countdown, wasn't it Black Adam who twisted her mind with corrupted power? So she wasn't really herself. It's basically just one big long "hero gets mind controlled" story, and every hero has gone through that.
But gods, it was awful.
Hey, do we know what Mary and Freddy (and the other kids) are calling themselves now that Billy isn't Captain Marvel anymore? Mary Shazam? She-Shazam?
