Default Pro Wrestlers vs. Captain America

Not really a fight (feel free to discuss one if you'd like) but more of a question/clarification thread.

How close in stats do certain Pro Wrestlers get to Comic Book Peak Human? What about MCU Cap?

Im sure they don't have much speed stuff, but how do the best of them compare with stamina/strength/soak and so on?

I think real life wrestlers still fall quite short. Which wrestlers would be considered to have the greatest soak, Mankind? I really can't see Mankind take the kind of beating Cap did at the end of Winter Soldier, nor survive against Ironman's punches in Civil War.

They are infants compared to Cap level peak humans. The beatings that real life wrestlers take are scripted not to be true fight impacts.

Huh. Yeah, given we are basically talking about theater here, it seems like the rumbles standards would treat them as their "characters" rather than their "actors."

So wouldn't Kane have really good soak due to being burned alive so many times?

You're telling me Chris Evans didn't hold down that helicopter IRL?

With PIS off, Captain America BTFO when Undertaker hits him with lightning, sets him on fire then teleports him to the rafters, drops him on his head. Cap gets up and throws the ring at Taker but Taker catches it, and sets him on fire again with magic lightning....... oh wait, none of that ever happens in a match

    Must be PIS huh

Yeah, seeing how both pro wrestlers and Captain America are equally fictional, it doesn't make sense to talk about wrestlers taking scripted beatings when anything Captain America did, whether it be in the comics or in the MCU, was equally scripted.

They're both characters and should be judged as such.

Superman: “The most… uh… dangerous man on earth…”

“He’s the most dangerous man alive in any comic universe.” — Wizard Magazine on Doctor Doom (Nov. 1998)

“[He’s] the most dangerous man in the Marvel universe, because his greatest weapon is the way he thinks and plans, his tremendous intellect.” — Tom Brevoort on T’Challa (Sep. 2010)

We can go both ways actually, i.e. for the actual people, was Chris Evans ever injured while filming or did he do some of his own stunts etc... wrestlers are basically live action stuntmen + actors all rolled into one, and their life is not very good going by how Mark Callaway hinted.

    For characters, yeah. Different story.

Steve is going to be fighting to get a filthy sock out of his throat while on a plane that's being flown into the ground by Hulk Hogan, who is in turn being somehow controlled by The Ultimate Warrior through the power of...I don't even know what.

I don't think any of them display strength on his level. The Big Show and a more recent guy have overturned trucks I guess with real effort (and kayfabe of course) but I don't think that compares to throwing a motorcycle. In terms of speed, none of them are on his level.

The big threat would be people like the Undertaker. Lightning. Teleportation, etc. Yes he never did it in a match but we usually default that there's no reason he couldn't. If a character has certain powers and there is no specific reason he can't use them in a fight, then not using them is just P.I.S.
    Power with Girl is better.

    Correct.

If there is a specific in-story reason why a character refrains from using a power (i.e. they want a challenge, moral reasons, need to abide by restrictions so that their victory is legitimate etc.) then that's just part of the story. If there isn't a reason then not using their full power is PIS.
