I didn't like Resurrection, Multiple Man, or Dead Souls. Of the three writers they relaunched Uncanny with, I was banking on Thompson the most(her Rogue and Gambit mini was pretty good). It was rather disheartening to see her sidelined with Mr and Mrs. X(okay, but largely inconsequential random space adventures and a huge step down in the art department from the last one) while Rosenberg was given permission to kill dozens of characters for his Uncanny 'story'.
Let the flames destroy all but that which is pure and true!

I agree with this and apparently his runs do well enough as far as Marvel is concerned that he is going to becoming back on an ancillary title when Hickman takes over the main books. We'll find out.

    I liked Phoenix Resurrection too!
I just feel like it became popular to hate this uncanny run, it is not perfect but is the ongoing i have enjoyed the most this year. There is always tons of discussion so people are reading it.

I have to disagree there. The mistreatment of Scott, Alex, Ilyana, Emma, Hope, and to a certain extent Sean and Logan is pretty damn bad.

Multiple Man - rushed, kind of sucked
    Dead Souls - rushed, sucked
Astonishing X-Men - maybe not rushed, didn’t care for it but was O K

So maybe just his X-Men work isn’t strong. He did a death fakeout in Tales of Suspense and Dead Souls, but basically said screw you to the entire OG Secret Warriors sans Quake.

That was the inverse of the usual Rosenberg formula. For me, at least, it was wonky until the strong final issue. But I did enjoy the entire event and nods to dead mutants (who were just overwhelmingly dead New X-Men...)

Well, that is sadly true. I can't say it isn't.
But some people had fun speculating about what was happening, we still don't have much idea of what is happening on the last issue. I will give Rosenberg that.

Phoenix ressurrection was very slow, the problem is that Rosenberg was fillling 5 issues without many things really happening. i liked the small town terror vibe

I still don’t get why Phoenix populated the egg with dead X-Men that Jean didn’t even know. Wouldn’t it have made sense to just have it be filled with her family and friends since they were just constructs anyway rather than just wait until Jean already remembered her life?

Dead Souls was cool until Rosenberg himself ruined the cliffhanger ending. Phoenix Res and Astonishing were alright I guess. Multiple Man was... worse than his Uncanny run
