Default A list of Marvel Big Bads.

Made this list for fun and if your aware of tvtropes and Villains wiki then you know what a big bad is the primary antagonist of the story ,series,or franchise. Also to note not all of the villains count as big bads if they are just recurring villains or one-offs,Bigger Bads, arc villains, and archenemy isn't always the big bad. So anyway is a list of most well known big bads in the Marvel Universe.

    • Norman Osborn/Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus from Spider-man
    • Thanos from Guardians of the Galaxy.
    • Magneto and Apocalypse from X-men
    • Ultron and Kang from Avengers
    • Red Skull and Baron Zemo from Captain America
    • Mandarin from Iron Man
    • Jigsaw from Punisher
    • Kingpin from Daredevil
    • The Leader from Hulk
    • Loki and Malekith from Thor
    • Supreme Intelligence from Captain Marvel
    • Dormammu from Doctor Strange
    • Doctor Doom From Fantastic Four
    • Mephisto from Ghost Rider and Sliver Surfer
    • Erik Kilmonger and Klaw from Black Panther.
    • Selene in the original New Mutants and Necrosha arc.

Well since that is all I can find which big bad did you think I miss and which is your favorite?

It’s kinda funny to think that Thanos original’ debuted in an Iron Man comic.

Marvel villains have a habit of jumping from one Rogues Gallery to another if they end up a better fit elsewhere. Mystique jumped from Carol's to the X-Men, Sabretooth started out in Iron Fist, Kingpin started out in Spider-Man...

Although Kingpin is more shared with Spider-Man and Daredevil compared to those other examples.

Mystique and Carol haven't had a thing since the Reed run, and Sabertooth and Iron Fist only ever reunited for that one Legacy arc.

Noticing a distinct lack of women on those lists.

Unfortunately. Venom could've broken that streak, as the original intent was for the symbiote to bond to a widow who had lost her husband and also miscarried due to being caught in the crossfire of one of Spider-Man's battles, but higher-ups at Marvel weren't convinced that a woman would or could be taken seriously by readers as an archenemy to Spider-Man. Thus, we ended up with Eddie Brock in the suit.

That's a good one. And Madelyne Pryor as the Big Bad of Inferno. Come to think of it, there are some pretty good female supervillains that could be dusted off and built up into Big Bads in their own right. For example, I liked what they were going for with Monica Rappaccini as the Scientist Supreme of A.I.M., perhaps with June Covington or Deidre "Superia" Wentworth as her rivals and fellow Big Bads in science-based supervillainy. Going back to the X-Men, there's Miss Sinister, or Persephone of Soteira as introduced in the Hunt for/Return of Wolverine books. In Spider-Man, since Otto Octavius is currently on the side of the angels as a self-proclaimed Superior Spider-Man, Carolyn Trainer could take up his role as a Big Bad for that corner of the Marvel Universe, especially given her predilection for virtual reality and the strides that have been made in real life towards actualizing VR tech. I'd also like to see Doctor Minn-Erva rise up as a Big Bad for Captain Marvel and the wider Marvel Universe.

The big bad of Carol Danvers's stories is memory loss. Let's say Mystique is her big bad until she got transplanted into the X-Rogues Gallery.
