Default Mask 3 with Female Mask!

Looks like we might be getting a female mask for the next movie. Note that there have been female masks in the comics. Even a little girl mask!

    Aw. I was hoping for this;

In all seriousness, if its more like the Jim Carrey version and NOT Son of the Mask, it should be alright.

I can't think of any female actor or comedian that could deliver Jim Carrey's manic energy, which is what sells the character.

Anybody have any ideas as to who would make a good female Mask?

How do you feel about Melissa McCarthy?
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.

It seems that Melissa McCarthy and Amy Schumer are the go-to names for female comedians these days, but I don't think either could hope to match Carrey's energy level from what I've seen.

I'm trying to think of a female comedian who can do "loud and manic" well, and I just can't.

    Kate McKinnon can do it.

    So could Aisha Tyler.

I'm not sure if Kate has recovered from Ghostbusters yet.
I don't see Aisha having the proper background. she seems pretty straight laced.

Mila Kunis? She was rather funny in the Spy who dumped me.

and I'm spending way too much time on this.

Tina Fey could pull it off.

But I did a google search and found this article.

I only have seen one of them, not sure if anyone else has an opinion.

That does seem to be the case, yeah.

I saw the latest Ghost Busters and Ocean's 8 and thought they were good, but I do think that they limit themselves by making gender swap a good with comedy reboots. Humor can be, but isn't always, non gender specific. I guess we'll see.

And thrive or fail, who cares? Did anyone actually see Mask 2? :P
