Despite Kaioshin trying to hype things as always, it's not about the amount of power, it's about the fusion running out of power; Vegeto's final kamehameha against Zamasu drained him to the point that neither Goku nor Vegeta had anything left in the tank, which is when he defused.

Yeah, but the fusion explicitly ran out earlier than it was supposed to.

Regardless, a split Potrara strat would be very situational, and probably not worth the points

For DC for example it's usually post-crisis pre-nu52 unless specified.
