the mystery event that had ties to a bunch of previous events? So my first thought when I heard that was something symbiote related, because that seemed to be a common element in a lot of stuff. And I guess the 'contagion' name could fit that, if maybe the symbiotes took on a more infectious nature, where it wasn't just one host it bonded to, but instead it multiplied and spread. Perhaps due to something Malekith did to it. Magic, can do crazy unintended stuff. But this is all just wild guessing.

Just throwing it out there but Marvel Zombies comes back in October and might have something to do with it.

I found the listing and what's mentioned on the Amazon page.
"A NEW EVIL BEYOND UNDERSTANDING COMES TO THE MARVEL UNIVERSE! A seemingly unstoppable force has invaded the Marvel Universe, and it's going to take every hero the streets of New York has to stop it! A strange substance is taking over heroes and citizens alike, draining them of their life force, stealing their knowledge and abilities, and neither science nor magic can stop it! Where did it come from? Can anything destroy it? And who will fall to its awful, overwhelming power?"

For anyone that needs to know why OMD is awful please search the internet for Linkara' s video's specifically his One more day review or his One more day Analysis.

Hmmmm, could be symbiote related, but too soon to say. Could also easily be Marvel Zombies.

Well, there is Absolute Carnage starting next month. Symbiotes and zombies, now that's a spicy combination.

Symbiotes and zombies. I'm down for this.

It would be nice if they remembered that Morbius the Living Vampire does have a zombie cure, but it probably won't do much against one argumented by the Symbiotes.

Ewing's TOBA? Doubtful since he wanted to stay out of events.

"Contagion?" Wasn't there a major Batman story with that title ?

Well someones gonna say it, sooner or later, so I'll blurt it out.... DCs Year of the villain is asking "who are the infected?"

Huuum, synergy? copy cats? or a crossover between publishers?, the cooties could be mutating crossing over! Cool!

But it's probably the Zombies, which I'm not adverse too, I loves me a good Zombie yarn.

Honestly, I'll buy this if it's like a terrestrial version of Realm of Kings mixed in with some Resident Evil. Marvel needs its own Rotworld-style story.

I mean, I guess we'll see. Depending on what it is, DC may be ripping off of them. That being said, it's a zombie story of some sort, probably. There are only so many ways you ca play it.

Yet ANOTHER event. Remember when everts were rare and people loved them and you could go a full year of one title without a event getting in the way? I miss those days.

    We still care about Events?
"The Marvel EIC Chair has a certain curse that goes along with it: it tends to drive people insane, and ultimately, out of the business altogether. It is the notorious last stop for many staffers, as once you've sat in The Big Chair, your pariah status is usually locked in." Christopher Priest
