Second, I just want to reiterate what I said before about Rosenberg: I honestly can't tell what was this man's endgame. He just burned any goodwill X-Men fans could have with him and made himself known as the guy who, when given some freedom by his editors, does stuff like this and could be worse on other lines of books.

It's mindblowing. Not the issue itself, which sounds pretty bad, just Rosenberg's path.

Someone said it was the mentality of a toddler, to just break all the toys for no good reason.

I’m not sure why Rosenberg either didn’t expect this backlash against his run killing off beloved characters in horribly underwhelming ways or expects us to wait a year and some change us to “really see what he’s doing in this run.” Whatever Hickman might do with these fallen X-characters in his era won’t be traced back to Rosencanny and it’s probably better off being remembered as a lackluster finale to a lackluster era. A speck in X-history.

You all cannot fathom the true nature of Rosenberg's design. Life. Death. It is the course of nature. Overpopulation would lead to extinction. A culling was required. Nature could not compensate. Balance had to be restored. By striking down the mutants, Rosenberg saved them. And from the ashes and ruin of the trials, new life will sprout from Hickman's seeds. A new era born from blood. But new readers will never even know it. Rosenberg is a hero. A legend. Some might say... a revolutionary...
