Same sort of situation with Jubilee helping out Nezumi and X-Man helping some rando mutant after they fell in a frozen lake. One has an actual messiah complex and believes it’s a necessity to play God, while the other is doing something out of pure empathy for their situation. Even if it may not end up mattering in the end, the X-Men are still helping mutants out of the goodness of their hearts even if they’re pissed that they’ve spent three or four months in a “fake” world away from their loved ones.

Makes sense, Nate vaporized them from the Earth and all he had was their collective essence. He created a new way for them to exist and have a life, but they’re practically dead by “universe standards.” Hell, even the new mutants introduced in the Age of X-Men are really just 616 mutants. They just got a living upgrade and that upgrade is living in the baby of Nate Grey and the Life Seed.

They may explain it in this issue.

The notion of all the AoXM background mutants being "real" is kind of overwhelming to think about on some levels, starting from the creche on up. I mean, just imagine... buildings full of mutant babies landing in the 616. Who even takes responsibility for something like that?

This is going to be Xavier's work or something like that. Because no one would make an event based on randomly finding something that was previously established that can not even be found in 616, right?

    ...Right?

On the basis of that alone, I feel like the premise has serious gravitas. Either millions and potentially billions of “living” mutants are gonna stay on a reality that’s cracking apart, die, or completely offset the natural order of the world by introducing a sudden population boom. Tons of babies that don’t really have parents, millions of mutants without homes, etc etc.

I know we should think that Nate is crazy because he believes himself a god, but when you have the power to create planes of existence with billions of sentient beings, well.

Nate Grey is officially the stupidest X-character after this event. Next up, Adam X

You haven’t seen the picture of major x#0 yet I take it. 5 characters with oval shaped heads and masks.

Nah, he is just being butchered and satanized to prop up other characters. Then people complain when that happens to other characters.
    It is so ironic.

Yeah, good point there. What was Nate's rationale, that he was dying and the world he'd be leaving behind was still going to suck, so he might as well do something really desperate/crazy in his final hours/days to force it to be better?
The spider is always on the hunt.

And her dad is alive somewhere And from the description does not know he has a child

    Anyway
You’re right. Cable is not Hope’s biological dad. Her real father is out there, but her grandmother doesn’t know who he is. Hope tried to find out but couldn’t.

I suppose they could try her mother’s cellphone or email logs and DNA test all the dudes to find out who her father is. But if he’s just a normal human it’s boring.

Of course this is Marvel was a later writer could have them do a DNA test revealing Cable was the father.

They did something similar with Laura and Logan. They could always say Cable traveled through time and done.

Laura works better that way, especially since flipping one chromosome while cloning somebody would result in a very physical and mentally deficient person assuming that such a being would even get past birth.

However, the idea of Cable going back in time to have sex with Hope's mom and then noping out of his parental duties only for him to have ended up with them anyways is hilarious.

Once upon a time, there was this character in Generation X called Skin.

The logistical nightmare this would create is horrifying, especially if Emma's memory wipe plan stays in effect.

I can't even blame anyone for not wanting to explore this because it is just so very confusing and just...big.

I wouldn't mind this is he found it in space or something. Like, Molecule Man's old apartment or something.

I don't think he's propping up anyone. Maybe Apocalypse?
