Default How will Rosenberg end his Uncanny X-Men run?

To say that the current Uncanny X-Men run by Matthew Rosenberg is controversial would be an understatement. With the massive amount of characters that have been killed/maimed/depowered, many are expecting Rosenberg to do some kind of reset to wave away all the changes. Now that there is only one issue left before Jonathan Hickman comes in and reboots the X-franchise, how do you think Rosenberg will end his run?

For reference, here's a list of whom Rosenberg has killed/maimed/depowered (I may have missed some):

    Blindfold (dead)
    Loa (dead)
    Strong Guy (dead)
    Cyclops (maimed)
    Sunspot (dead)
    Sabretooth (dead)
    Joseph (dead)
    Wolfsbane (dead)
    Arclight (dead)
    Malice (dead)
    Scalphunter (dead)
    Blockbuster (dead)
    Vertigo (dead)
    Harpoon (dead)
    Chamber (dead)
    Vanisher (dead)
    Ruckus (dead)
    Gorgeous George (dead)
    Hairbag (dead)
    Ramrod (dead)
    Shinobi Shaw (dead)
    Dark Beast (dead)
    Triage (depowered/dead?)
    Velocidad (dead)
    Banshee (dead)
    Magik (lost mutant powers)
    Juggernaut (depowered)
    Sienna Blaze (dead?)
    Trevor Fitzroy (dead?)

I think my top three theories in no particular order:
    • Nothing happens and Hickman’s run resets everything by the end of HOXPOX
    • Elixir resurrects everyone and, in turn, wipes out Callahan and the O.N.E.
    • X-Man reverses the damage done to the mutants before he dies

Continuing our streak of bad writing, X-Man and Hope confront each other with poorly written "deep" dialogue where Hope proceeds to copy his powers and fix everything. Either one or both of them dies because Rosenberg thinks he's being deep when in reality it's more childish than ever.

The esteemed followers of the One True God-Emperor of Mankind behold this heresy and have it purged from orbit from an Ion Cannon. Exterminatus is the only way to be truly sure it's dead and stays dead.

But in all seriousness, it would not surprise me to see more than half of this stuff stick around like the stink of cheese left out in a bathroom for a month.

Truth to tell...I don't know and don't care, and it's not worth my time or energy to even think about it...just that it's ending is good enough.

It will tragic if everything sticks since people have been consoling themselves saying this run will get retconned since like, issue 13, so I'm gonna be a pessimist and say "tHis iS FoReVAH"

Callisto will get arrested for shoplifting, because of that Hope loses hope and then a big white light and HoX and PoX start next.

All 616 x-men die, replaced on Earth-616 by teleporting in the x-men of Earth-8675309 or something.

He could try taking a leaf out of Chuck Austen's book? That was an amusing and meta way for it all to go...

Everything from this Uncanny run and Age of X-man should be retconned so of course is going to stick beyond this run.

It is always funny to see how low everything can fall.

I'm divided on how it'll be retconned between 'Psychic Illusion' and 'Reality Warping'.

If I didn't know there was AoXM: Omega coming involving Nate having a Life Seed, I'd probably vote 'Psychic Illusion'. Emma + Cortez + Cerebro and Sinister telepathically screw with Callahan, and [almost] everything we've seen so far in Uncanny is a delusion he's experiencing of his plans coming to fruition.

In the end, I voted 'Psychic Illusion': giving Callahan his own Mongol/Black Mercy moment.
