I do remember that self monologue he had in Superior Octopus, though it was about Anna he admitted he was accused of many crimes and is guilty of them. Though it was a passing comment, it still shows he knows he was in the wrong in some capacity. Though he uses the "mental illness" excuse to try and brush of his crimes to other people, and perhaps himself, deep down he knows he did bad things, he's just not willing to admit it to anyone else.

Otto’s a narcissist. Narcissistic people rewrite their pasts in ways that disassociate them from prior versions of themselves. He’s behaving much better now but he’s still got this character flaw - it’s nuanced and very well-presented IMO.

FS: Is there anything you can tease about what we can expect to see in the series moving forward?

CG: Otto will come up against a vastly more powerful villain, and really be put to the test early on. He will encounter heroes and villains that don’t necessarily fit in his wheelhouse of science. He will have to deal with a familiar Spidey supporting character figuring out his true identity. And he’ll do it all in a SUPERIOR way!
