Default Question about the final battle of "First Class"

I just rewatched FIRST CLASS and I found the sequence in which the missiles finally explode/fall in the ocean a bit too brief. It was an amazing scene nonetheless, but I expect it to be longer.

What's the biggest action scene in the last third of FC, in your view? I would say that the climax is supposed to be Erik pulling the submarine out of the water, the Blackbird crashing into the submarine and finally Erik stopping the missiles in the middle of the air.
So basically, the sequence of the missiles exploding wasn't supposed to be the action climax of the movie...? I guess so.

By the way, such a compelling movie. Terrific cinematography, and I like the genesis of the X-Men.

The climax of the movie is Erik killing Shaw. No joke. Not an "action scene" per se, but it's the third act's bigger scene.

    I liked this movie too.
It's a personal take on X-men and it's the reason why it worked…
Some people don't like it… probably for the same reasons I liked it.
The climax of the movie is the missile sequence, in my opinion, because of the stakes.

The missiles exploding is just the conclusion, but all the sequence between the Soviet and US navies is very tense and well done.

But the most memorable scene is Erik killing Shawn with the coin while Charles shares the pain.

I think… when the missiles go back. I had no trouble with Magneto stopping the threat that the missiles represent for him and the mutants but once he decided to send back the missiles, he won't be convinced easily to give up…he has just killed Shaw, we had the proof that he didn't listen to Xavier. The confrontation was inevitable and the conclusion uncertain.

With Shaw, it was spectacular but it wasn't surprising: we have already seen what Magneto could do with small pieces of metal.
