I don't think OHMSS is the worst. I just think it's too long.

Something I realized this morning- when it comes to the Craig films, for a series that started off showing how Bond became a Double-O, he sure does end up quitting or retired a lot. He quit MI-6 at the end of Casino Royale, only to go back after Vesper was killed. He was practically disavowed in Quantum of Solace. After being shot at the beginning of Skyfall, he played dead for months. And he retired again at the end of Spectre, and is still retired when NTTD opens up.

I'm not really understanding the push for Lashawna Lynch becoming Bond. For almost 60 years the Bond producers have done great casting the right actor for the role. I agree with Craig that Bond should not be played by a woman. And I'm sure the naysayers are calling him sexist. If you look at his entire comment he says there should be roles for POC and females. But they'll concentrate on the first part as anti-female which is missing his point. I'm all for a spinoff movie featuring a strong Bond female character that's fine. But it's James Bond. If you put a female lead in there it's not Bond anymore. It's just a female led spy movie in a completely different continuity.

Bond went a bit rogue in some of the original films too, although not as often.

Some of Craig's video games imply that he had similar but more modernized missions of previous Bonds between QOS and Skyfall. The Goldeneye Reloaded game, for instance.

She's not Bond but gets his 00 number because he's inactive. Different people can get the number; in the original films this happened a few times-the 009 killed in Octopussy is replaced by the time of the World Is Not Enough; 002 is mentioned in Man With the Golden Gun as having been killed by Scaramanga, yet another 002 shows up in the Gibralter excercise in Living Daylights. Presumably after Alec Trevalyn was "dead" a new 006 was appointed.

Also female 00s are seen two times in the first twenty films in the rare times we see the agents gathered together-In Thunderball and The World Is Not Enough.

Just got back from seeing it. I enjoyed the film. Much better than Spectre in pretty much every way but not quite as good as Skyfall or Casino Royal. Some important plot points seemed telegraphed, but this being the end of the Craig era also allows them to do things that would otherwise not be done in a Bond movie. Did not feel like it was almost 3 hours and the characters and action were all good. In the end I'm glad Craig came back for one more go this is his last movie instead of Spectre.

I would like to see Patrick Stewart finally in the franchise, preferably as M. I could tolerate him as a villain, but only if he got to continue past one film.

While everyone has a hard time deciding on what their favorite Bond film is almost everyone agrees that On Her Majesty's Secret Service holds the title of Worst Bond Film. This is not a good sign.

There are waaaaaaaayyyy worse films than OHMSS. In general my only complaint with the film is it’s length. There are some great action scenes and Lazenby has grown on me over the years.

Huh. I just got back from it, and there was no intermission in my showing. Unless I accidentally timed my trip to the restroom perfectly.

We had a little warning right before the movie started "there will be a 5 minute intermission."

It appears there are 2 cuts of the movie, one with, one without. Kind of like Endgame.
