Default Your Pick for the Saddest Moments in DC History

Let's play a game that's gonna depress all of us. I want you all to recall what issue of a DC comic book series you read that really just...hit you in the feels. In other words, what gets your vote for the saddest comic book in the history of DC Comics?

My vote has got to go to Gotham Central #38-39, the murder of Crispus Allen.

I'm actually also gonna give honorable mentions to Green Lantern #55 (Dex-Starr's origin) and New Teen Titans #16 when Starfire is crying over Franklin Crandall's death.

    How about you guys?

The youth of Bane. Vengeance of Bane is so sad to read.

    A couple spring to mind.

The death of Sarah Gordon in No Mans Land hit me like a kick to the balls.
And the death of Krypto in Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?

    Both stuck with me.

I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.

This. The first time I ever cried at a comic book.

Grant Morrison's best, most poignant work.
