Default Elseworlds return (kinda) with Tales from the Dark Multiverse

    https://www.newsarama.com/46013-deat...se-titles.html

Tales from the Dark Multiverse will be retellings of classic DC storylines like Knightfall, Death of Superman, and The Judas Contract with an Elseworld/What If twist.

Nice news, but Scott Snyder's writting Batman, that's bad news.

We were talking about this over at the Superman forums. I think the Lois Lane story sounds interesting.

More close to what if? than elseworlds properly. But it seems interesting.
Someone would like to share more ideas for other Dark multiverse tales?

"Tower of Babel" after the death of the Justice League because of his fault, a guilt driven Batman goes in a bloody revenge against R'as Al Guhl, as one man Justice League.

Killing Joke or Death in the Family are obvious suggestions, although I don't know what kind of twist you can give them beyond Batman killing Joker and maybe taking a harsher stance on crime.

How about an elseworld of an elseworld? Dark Knight Returns - What if Batman had used a stronger mix of that kryptonite and killed Superman at the end? What would be the fall out of that?

Or, taking a cue from the Death of Superman Dark Universe tale, it is Barbara who is taken to the carnival meanwhile her father was shot death. And when she saw than Batman choose not to kill Joker, she snaps and using the Oracle technology, she executes a bloody vengeance on both of them.

You got me there. I can't think of other outcome.
