I totally forgot though that last time Magneto saw Emma he wanted to kill her and thats what pushed him into being a villian again yet here he is standing next to her and he doesnt react. Bunn's work continues to be ignored

Yes. I hope you know I wasn't literally saying that Scott and Jean had sex in a comic book inteded for audiences T+. It was...como se dice...a joke.

Bunn will always be ignored. Now he's no longer on the X-Books. But thankfully, Rosenberg isn't either from his comment about this being the last X-Book he's doing, then saying he hopes it's only temporary.

Sounds like somebody activated a trap card!

Such a shame. Bunn's work was some of the only good we've had in the past like 9 years.

This was on my mind last night thinking about the whole if the mutants die at least they will remember us thing. The sad fact is that history is often written by the winners. Makes me imagine if they lost all the propaganda and weird historical narratives the humans would concoct about the mutants.

Pretty much. Look at what's happened with every successful genocide in history. The victorious population, such as it is, then proceeds to rewrite history to cast itself as the heroes and the vanquished population as utterly irredeemable, monstrous villains who deserved to be completely defeated and annihilated by any means necessary or available, and anybody that speaks against that narrative gets silenced, one way or another. Of course, then it isn't much longer before the victorious population then moves on to any other populations that it also finds troublesome or inconvenient, so if mutant genocide were ever to actually succeed . . . the non-mutant superhumans would be next on the chopping block, as the original Civil War, the earlier Acts of Vengeance subplot, and even the original Days of Future Past storyline demonstrated. It would be a lot like Martin Niemoller's poem about how he failed to speak up as so many others were being eliminated by the Nazis, because he didn't consider himself part of those groups that were being actively targeted at the time, so by the time they came for him, there was no one left to speak up for him.

Bunn literally rebooted Magneto running a Brotherhood only for that to get dropped two issues later between X-Men Black and Disassembled. Pathetic continuity.

I’m proud of CBR. I thought we were gonna be more ravenous over shipping wars. But anyway look at this thing someone made:

Minor thing but Triage isn’t dead but Donald Pierce, Skullbuster, Pretty Boy, Angelo Macon, Wade Cole, and Bonebreaker are. They didn’t count the first 10 issues but Rosenberg wrote a solo backstory where he also killed Sugar Man. 36 characters. How many did Kyle and Yost kill again?

It bothers me they used the X-Men Animated Series for all that they could, except Banshee, Hairbag, Ruckus, George, Wolfsbane, and Sabretooth.

When it looked like the XMen would be killed, she slipped away and they could not locate her. She’s a survivor.

More importantly why didn’t try try to relocate Magik? Emma could have helped Illyana regain control of Darkchilde.

They would never be able to kill off the Avengers with their gods and powerful sorcerers. If anything the XMen
Should beg Jean to become Phoenix again, locate Magik and have her return to the team, befriend Roma, have Storm
utilize her godhood/magic more(Wakanda roots), and they should befriend more god and eternals. I mean some Avehers like Captain Marvel and Photon if they let loose no humans could stop them. The Xoffice likes persecution themes, but even there this time Mutants did not get persecuted until the most powerful ones were assumed dead. Jean got an audience with the United Nations because everyone fears she will go Phoenix. Storm is a goddess and queen. Magneto is Magneto and he has his daughter for backup. The only remaining powerful mutant left behind was Magik, who was dumbed down for the event.

To be fair, the Marauders are cloned to ad nauseam at times.....and didn’t we think Madrox died for good twice already? He could have left one Dupe around......

I would have liked to see more of a resolution to the Legion vs Nate conflict of interests. How did David know Nate was going to go forth with plans. What happened with them after the battle before the formation of AOX-man?
