Conflicted. I love Mary Jane, but I don't care for the creative team.

Also, let's keep in mind that Marvel does not treat redheads appropriately.

So I’m assuming that the plot point for issue 29 is Mj deciding to go to Hollywood probably leaving Peter in New York. I’m going to assume they will try the long distance relationship. But the synopsis is masking me think Kindred is gonna to be around for a long time if he will be in two books basically

How long is this Mary Jane series going to be? Was it announced as an ongoing or a limited series? I don't want to see them apart for too long. It hurts, lol.

Ongoing but I do wonder if she can headline a series by herself though

I'm conflicted as well. While I like the character I usually shy away from purchasing comic books which do not have a superhero (or supervillain) lead.

Hey, issue 25 showed that she can talk herself out of a fight. She doesn't need powers to deal with villains. Not unlike Lois Lane actually, though the skillset is different (acting instead of journalism).

True dat, I just don't usually find such books interesting. If you like that sort of thing I'm happy for you but it isn't my cup of tea.

Why should a Mary Jane comic be about her fighting villains at all?

Leah Williams doing both a Gwenpool AND Mary Jane mini-series? It's like she wants to become my new favourite writer. So super excited about this, gives a chance for her to shine in a really big way, and allows for a new dynamic of the type of storytelling. Just like someone else mentioned, with this, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, etc., we're getting the return of the civilian comic books and its really cool!

(Also its a bit funny to me how like last year there were people still going off about how much Marvel hated MJ and were trying to diminish her and now after so much new content with her that she gets HER OWN BOOK, its met with some skepticism )

It was done in Models, Inc. which starred MJ and Millie the Model among others. Well, a few panels admittedly, as the whole mini was more of a crime-solving sleuthing story.

We already know this book involves Mysterio.

MJ isn't the first actor to have that adjective. Nightcrawler had it in Age of X-Man - his logo was even based on ASM's.

There's also been an Amazing X-Men team, which also included Kurt.

I am the same way. My question is will this comic tie into Amazing with Mysterio and maybe Kindred ( which I would find interesting)? is it going to be a romance comic like Spider-Man loves Mary Jane ( which I would not read ( let alone buy))? Or is it a plan to take her away from Amazing and put her into her own ongoing ( very much like Felicia)?

Its confirmed to tie into Spencer's ongoing Kindred plot, with Mysterio being the one pulling the strings behind this "movie" that MJ is doing
