From wikipedia- When Jesus died God raised him from the dead and he ascended to Heaven. The assumption is that Jesus' soul did not separate from his body when he died. Apostle Paul- 'He was buried and raised on the 3rd day.'

It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body there is a spiritual body.

Christians interpets Paul as comparing the resurrection body with the mortal body, saying that it will be a different kind of body; a spiritual body meaning an immortal body or incorruptible body- The belief that divine intervention allows some human bodies to avoid the normal process of decomposition after death as a sign of their holiness. Bodies that undergo little or no decomposition are sometimes referred to as incorrupt or incorruptible. Saints and others whose bodies are said to be incorrupt are catalogued in a book called Incorruptibles: A study of the incorruption of the bodies of various catholic Saints.

Civil rights leader Megar Evers body was exhumed several years back and it was in perfect condition with little to no human decomposition.

So. Does this mean that Megar Evers and the Catholic Saints whose bodies did not decomposed were blessed by God. And could there souls not had separated from the time of death?

Do the catholic church expect these saints to be resurrected? I had read an article a couple of years back that theorised that it may be possible to nurture back a saint with an incorruptible body by putting it in an anechoic chamber. The article equated darkness and silence with the conditions of the tomb of Christ and an embryo in the mother's womb. But now the article seem to be gone from the internet.

I would recommend reading 2 Corinthians 5 in which Paul states that to be absent the body is to be face to face with the Lord.

Regarding Jesus' time during his burial and Resurrection, we know from 1 Peter 3:18-20 that "Jesus was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built." So his Spirit was active and traveled to Tartarus before He took on his resurrection body on the 3rd day.

Nice story, but the resurrection myth was over a thousand years old before Christianity. Most religions at the time had one.

Older, resurrection is in the Gilgamesh Epic, and that's from at least 2500 BCE. Only a little before the Osiris myth from Egypt. And give oral traditions they would be 3000 years plus before Jesus.
