Here's a good look at the size of the Treasury books.
Seems a little open ended. We know Surfy can amp himself to tremendous power levels. However, Galactus relieved Norrin of his space/time powers for siding with the FF against him, confining him to earth.
However, in the Surfers second ongoing, he escaped those confines by disassembling his board and passing safely through the barrier.
OK.
In Annihilation, Galactus evidently restored Norrin to full power (he trounced a planet busting Beta Ray Bill with ease).
I guess I'm saying when Surfer faced Thor for the first time, taking the Surfers space/time powers evidently included a more comprehensive power down.
This was clear when Loki added much of his own power to supplement the Surfer when he faced Thor for the first time.
"Sir, does this mean that Ann Margret's not coming?"

"One of the maddening but beautiful things about comics is that you have to give characters a sense of change without changing them so much that they violate the essence of who they are." ~ Ann Nocenti, Chris Claremont's X-Men.
Silver Surfer Black was so good, I’ll be picking up that Treasury Edition for sure. Tradd Moore’s art is so dynamic, it’ll look great on those oversized pages.
Silver Surfer #11 Dec 1969
"O, Bitter Victory!"
The Surfer has rescued Donna Maria and destroyed the General's headquarters but they still fight back.
They notice the ship carrying Shalla Bal and Yarro Gort and shoot it down. They take them captive.
But Yarro agrees to share his weaponry with the General in order to help kill the Surfer.
The Surfer returns Donna Maria to her home and meets the rest of the freedom fighters.
Meanwhile, Yarro shows the General his weapons.
The Surfer and the freedom fighters attack the General and Yarro assists with his advanced technology.
He plans to kill the Surfer but Shalla tries to stop him.
She is shot by one of the soldiers. The Surfer retrieves her
and shoots a beam at them, killing the General.
The only hope for Shalla is medical treatment back on Zenn-La.
He repairs her ship and sends her back in the hope she can be saved.

The Silver Surfer Reveals An... Intimate... New Super Power
https://www.cbr.com/the-silver-surfe...w-super-power/
Silver Surfer is currently appearing in Avengers #28 and Annihilation Scourge Omega. He continues to be black in both stories. I hope everyone enjoys his participation in these stories.
I really hope Cates, or Abnett, will develop a new ongoing to help establish this new status quo.
