how was annhilius portrayed for those mini series? Beyond the Fantastic Four, was he ever a major villain at all?

As a cosmic level threat. He and his wave were going through cosmos destroying everything in their path.

Annihilation 2: This Time, it's a Team-Up .

Annihilus did team up with the heroes during Hickman's Infinity, so I guess it's not completely unheard of.

I wonder if we'll see the return of the Annihilators.

Cates was asked on his Twitter if he was writing it; so far he's said no but he's involved in the plot, so as a guess I think it might be Al Ewing; I had a good chat with him at a comic con back in July just before the GOTG Annual came out, over at NNMB we were discussing how Ewing would handle Rich if he ever got a chance to write him, and lo the Annual came out soon after; so when I spoke to him he said he had "plans" for Rich and could not say anything more - so then comes along this new Annihilation project...coincidence?? Maybe, maybe not, but whoever does write it, has a lot to live up to as Keith Giffen's plot and story for the original is very hard to top. Still gonna get it though...

The original Annihilation was actually compossed of mutiple solo books by multiple writers. If in theory they follow the same format, we could have several writers working on this.

True but there isn't it seems going to be four separate minis per character (Nova, Silver Surfer, Ronan and Super Skrull) for this new one, just a Alpha and then 6 issues. In which case its likely it'll be one writer, two at best (co-script or otherwise). Of course I'm also curious who the artists will be. Divito did a good job on Annihilation itself but the art of the initial four minis and Annihilation Prologue wasn't great, save for Kev Walkers' Nova.

After the success of the 1st annihilation I hope they put a big artist on this book.
