Is Brian Dead? Haven’t been following X-Men comics lately. But Betsy becoming his replacement works for me.

Lockheed front and centre on a comic - with Kitty no less - is one of the most beautiful things I have seen in a while. He better not be pretty scenery this time.

Brian is okay. In fact after Secret Wars he is the last Captain Britannia of the omniverse. Perhaps he has refounded the order and has to delegate the role of being the Captain of the universe 616 in his sister.

All these new teams look like a lot of fun, but I guess it will depend on the execution ultimately. I have mixed feelings about the creative teams - very happy with Duggan and Brisson, totally unfamiliar with Howard, Percy and Hill, generally underwhelmed by the artists.

There have been times when Wolverine and Scott have been friends. Emma called them a "rad bromance". They were just very vitrolic. Like, they insult each other but do not tolerate others doing it.

But not best friends. Scott's best friend is Warren and Logan's best friend is Kurt.

Thanks! I don’t especially know what to think of an Excalibur comic which isn’t prevalently about a British located team, even if I would admit that the non Brits in classic Excalibur like Kitty, Kurt and Pitor were my favourites. Gambit and Rogue is nice as another married couple in the new team but meh otherwise. To me Excalibur isn’t Excalibur if there’s no Kitty, Colossus, Nightcrawler or Meggan.
