I would’ve thought so, too. But it seems like Marvel was in a pretty desperate situation to get a big name onboard with a lot of artists, Bendis, and Alonso jumping off. I think if Hickman joined, they had to have accepted his entire pitch.

I tend to agree. Of course, it would be a personal choice, as these things are. But to see them embrace fluidity and polyamory relationships would definitely be controversial. Yet fun. And envelope pushing, in true X-Men fashion.

The franchise is in some desperate need of envelope pushing. The goal is to get people talking about the X-Men again, and it's the perfect time to do so with the rights returning. Obviously the quality of writing being high helps.

I'm sure Hickman's run is going to have a few of these, and of course there's going to be a certain amount of push back from "traditionalists" like there was with Morrison. I'm hoping he just goes balls to the walls crazy.

On minors characters it can work, but Marvel might not want a dumb reason to people be mad at athem

I LOVE the lineups of these books bc they remind me of Red. Totally unexpected and mixes up characters and concepts. Only New Mutants feels predictable but the addition of GenXers is enough to alter the dynamic a bit.

I wonder if anyone else will join Fallen Angels as the original had something like a dozen characters. These seems like a good place for other young mutants. Monet/Penance and Hellion could find a role here

I love me some Storm but I just can't read a book 1 called Marauders. 2.Cpt Kate Pryde ok I don't mind her being leader of the ship but only if she was leading people who was around her own age group or younger.i can't speak for anyone else but I would feel very weird coming to work and my manager is in her teens or early 20's and i'm in my early 30's just odd too me and Storm and Emma have both been leaders and you're taking orders from your student.naw i'm have to pass on this as well.
