Cyclops was dead since 2015 and that didn't make any other character more popular.
Wolverine too. Tyke and OML were side submissive side characters and the franchice became extremely boring during that time.

He was also contained to Uncanny, making some side appearances in All-New, during the Bendis run. The other books were about other characters, including All-New that focused mostly on Jeen.

Then we have the three years post Secret Wars, where Cyclops was bad-mouthed, Tyke got shafted completely and there was focus on other characters. But, apparently, Cyclops being contained to a single book again is bad, somehow.

It is normal that some posters want X-Men to be Cyke and friends show and some posters don`t want to read Cyke show again.

X-Men always should be a team book with rotating time to shine between a team and not a solo adventures of any character and his/her amazing friends.

But that IS what's happening we literally have 6 new books coming out with various X-Men characters making up MULTIPLE teams. This narrative that Scott is taking the spotlight away from other characters is ridiculous when 1. He was dead for years and only came back a couple of months ago and 2. Since his return has only been confined to ONE book at a time.

Imagine reading X-men and hating Cyclops. It is like reading Justice League and hating Batman, Superman or Wonder Woman.
