Manus Ragnall is a retired professor of archaeology from the National University of Ireland. Manus is an antiquated man who has turned his house into a virtual museum of ancient Irish Viking artefacts and mementos of his daughter, Brianna, who vanished 35 years ago under mysterious circumstances. Soon after that, Manus’ wife died, leaving him alone. All Manus wants now is to find his missing grandson, who disappeared at the same time as his mother.

Nimue – Magician

Nimue is the enigmatic Lady of the Lake. As keeper of the codes of chivalry, she challenges Ethan to prove himself worthy of his legacy. Water in all its watercourses and forms of precipitation is an extension of Nimue that exists simultaneously in the past, present, and future, bearing silent witness to the events that shape the course of history.

Nimue lives in a castle on the shores of L'étang de Comper in Brocéliande forest with 12 nameless and genderless water sprites that use pantomime and dance to relate the events she has witnessed to allow their audience to see their actions from the outside and learn what aspects of themselves they must alter in order to progress spiritually.

Myrddin Emrys - most commonly known as Merlin Ambrosius - is a powerful wizard and last of the Druids. Born of a mortal woman, sired by an incubus, the non-human wellspring from whom he inherits his supernatural powers and abilities, he is a sage who engineered the birth of Arthur Pendragon through magic and intrigue. Merlin served as the king’s advisor until the Lady of the Lake imprisoned him inside a rock in the remotest depths of Brocéliande forest.

Caliburn - The Sword of Might

Nimue, the Lady of the Lake, forged Caliburn using a dragon's glass eye as a symbol of Merlin's tent that might does not make right. When wielded in line with this principle, Caliburn is as strong as steel, but when wielded in defiance of his tenet, the blade becomes as fragile as the glass it is made out of.

Excalibur – The Sword of Chivalry

Nimue forged Excalibur in her castle on the shores of L'étang de Comper in Brocéliande forest using the hide of a dragon, which makes it the finest sword there has ever been. Excalibur can slice through iron as through metal as well withstand the force of any weapon used against it.

Nimue bestowed Excalibur on Arthur shortly after his reign began after Caliburn broke when he inadvertently used it to attack King Pellinore.

Following his defeat at the Battle of Camlann, Arthur ordered Bedivere to throw the sword into the enchanted lake and, after two failed attempts, he finally complied with the wounded king’s request and Nimue’s hand emerged from the lake to catch it.

Excalibur symbolizes the codes of chivalry.

Arthur’s chamber is a crypt buried 16 feet below the earth in an oak-hollow between two stone pyramids beneath the Minster of the Three Sisters, a a massive structure on Avalon, the isle of apples. Arthur lies in a marble coffin with a lead cross fastened to it that has the words Here lies entombed King Arthur on the Isle of Avalon with Guinevere, his second wife emblazoned on it. The chamber lies directly beneath giant statues of Arthur’s half-sisters, Morgana Le Fey, Morgause, and Elaine, that tower over the Minster like three silent guardians.

Inside the Minster is an ostensibly ordinary wooden door with the Latin phrase Hic iacet Arthurus, Rex Quondam Rexque Futurus written on it that requires Caliburn or Excalibur to open its lock that hides a staircase that leads to Arthur’s chamber.

Titania & The Korrigan

Titania is the tyrannical Queen of the Faeries. She is as terrible and fatal as she is beautiful and seductive, and she is much of a force to reckon with as her husband, Lord Oberon. Like all fairies, Titania ages backwards, which makes her yesterdays our tomorrows and her tomorrows our yesterdays.

The lovely and lustful golden-haired siren-like Korrigan faeries were once Druidesses who opposed Christianity that turned the springs and rivers of Brocéliande forest into their home after Christian apostles converted all of Brittany.

Morgana Le Fey & The Morgen of Avalon – The Healer

Morgana Le Fey is Arthur Pendragon’s half-sister through Igraine of Lyonesse. Her sisters are Morgause and Elaine. Morgana is a physician schooled in the art of healing, which she learned from studying the usefulness all herbs bear. She possesses extraordinary healing powers drawn from Brocéliande forest, a world of magic lore that conceals the darkest of locations and hosts unearthly beings that can thin the veil between worlds, as well as the ability to change shape to take flight or glide out of the air into any land at will.

She and her sisters took Arthur to Avalon following the Battle of Camlann to nurse him until his wound healed. She placed him upon a golden couch and, upon inspecting his wound, informed him that she could cure him only as long as he stayed with her to endure her treatment. Aware that the Kingdoms of Camelot would need him to protect them against a threat from beyond the realm, he agreed to stay with Morgana.

On Avalon, Morgana protects and educates the Morgens of Avalon - Thetis, Gliten, Glitonea, Thitis, Gliton, Tyrone, Moronoe, and Mazoe. The Morgens encompass all her qualities on the continua between light and darkness, creative and destructive, positive and negative, and sour and sweetness. They are renowned for their ability to shapeshift and appear in different places in a single instant. They are also the keepers of the Arthurian knightly virtues, the virtuous qualities that defined the meaning of chivalry for the knights of the Round Table.

The Morgens are psychopomps that hold a metaphorical torch of knowledge that exposes new realities and ways of thinking to those it lights. They hold a mirror that shows one’s shadow side and reveals what aspects they must alter to progress. They present themselves as challenging sides of one’s self and are present during path workings to help guide travelers in their journey across the astral plane.

Titania -- The Queen

Titania is as terrible and fatal as she is beautiful and seductive, and she is much of a force to reckon with as her husband, Lord Oberon.

Every seven years, Titania pays a tithe to She’ol, a hellish level of Olam Haba, a metaphysical and timeless afterlife, in the form of mortals whom the siren-like Korrigan faeries procured as newborns that willingly sacrifice themselves for her when they grow up.
