What do you think about the Marauders line up?

No, I don't think having Storm and Bishop on a boat owned by a faux British Trading Company taking orders from Emma and Kitty is a good idea.

she worked with her during Ivs X and if i remember correctly Storm fans were like "get it" when she singed beast and let himknow that she was in on the plan with Emma/Magneto. Can't have it both ways. We can't be all Emma/Storm when it works in Storm's favor or she gets to do something because of it then immediately go back to "why she working with that liar." And it creates conflict. Should Storm only work with people she likes? That sounds like Trump and that doesn't make a good leader or team member.

i dont think your assessment here is an accurate one. Emma throughout her time with working with Ororo has done everything in her power to disrespect her. Not including her stealing her body, Emma tried to intimidate her when Professor X allowed her to join the xmen. She insensitively antagonized her after her marriage was annulled:



Even after all of this Ororo stupidly worked with her during ivx and got burned. ororo was manipulated once again by Emma to do her dirty work and came off looking like an imbecile. Why on earth would she be surprised of Emma's betrayal:



Lastly and more recently, Ororo worked with Emma yet again during her xmen black book were she deceived ororo to take out sebastian shaw to become the new black queen. So this isnt about her not liking Emma. It simply goes to the old adage "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice,shame on me." I mean seriously how many times do you want Ororo to be played for a fool??

And I was never ever in favor of Ororo working with Emma. I've always been consistent there and didnt like her characterization at all during IvX, so I'm not sure which storm fans you are referring to. And the issue is not about working with people she likes, it should be about working with someone she trusts which Emma has proven time and time again she isnt trustworthy.

Good post. Emma has been betraying the x-men trust on her for some time. I see no reason to Ororo trust her

The reason she stepped down from being leader was bc she felt foolish for being manipulated into leading the X-men into a war with the Inhumans after Emma played her. it can honestly go any way, the HoX #6 cover could be hinting at them possibly working together in some way...but who knows its all up to speculation at this point and whether or not these past instances are ignored or not. Cause for the most part anyway they pretty much are

I think the Storm, Katherine Pryde and Emma Frost dynamic is what makes me more excited for this series.

Remember the last thing Emma did was:
1. Hide all mutants and disarm all of ONE. Undo the vaccine etc. After Scott's decision it ended up being stalling long enough So recruitment arrived.
2. All those deaths are undone now.

And while Storm was pissed off at being used in X-Men Black I think she'd be happy Shaw is off the board and the Hellfire Club is united. In the sense that if you needed to take down the Hellfire Club you'd only have to go after one person.

Kitty saw Emma help Iceman in his last issue.

Regardless, I don't expect them to be best of friends but hopefully we will see growth. I think there's a specific reason why they're travelling on a boat and why the Hellfire Club is called that.

I hope to see an evolution with their relationships. And I hope to see Storm finally get some narrative back. Essentially you have several leaders of the X-Men on that team. They could serve as a counter to Scott and Xavier

We don't know how things are going to turn out in HoX/PoX either. Storm may end up going to Emma for help with something or vice versa and they end up working together to stop or save something. I think there is a reason they are together on the Marauders. Why would Emma stick around at all if Storm and Kitty despise the ground she walks on. If they want Emma dead or in jail why would she bother to help them. Hell, why would she fund their operations out of her own bank account. If they hate her so much they can fund themselves and she'll just do her own thing.

This is the thing with all the people here who want Storm and Kitty to hate and despise Emma, there is a reason they are working together, and there is a reason that Emma is funding an operation that Kitty is running with Storm probably 2nd in command. If Storm and Kitty hate Emma what could she possibly gain from teaming up with them at all. Emma could fund and run the operation without them and recruit her own team. Emma is with them because she wants to help them for a reason we will probably be shown.

Even more than this, if Kitty and Storm despise Emma why would they even want her around, why would they accept money from her. There are other rich mutants who could fund their operation, Sunspot, Warren, etc... Why Emma, why ask Emma to participate in their venture in the first place? Would you want to work with someone you despise every day and be dependent on them for funding your operation.

I think HoX/PoX is going to show how Storm and Emma end up working together and why.
