I don't mind Kate "leading" this book but she better not be know all end all she was in Gold. Storm better check her, offer advice, check Emma if the snark gets out of hand, and take charge during battle when warranted. Kate can give pretty (annoying) speeches, but a tactical genius she is not.
Bishop is whatever. Bobby is fun and it will be interesting seeing him deal with two women who helped him understand is powers better and the (again annoying) ex-girl friend, while he possibly develop a new relationship with the f-boy nuPyro.
