Was dad drawn to John Byrne's likeness or was it an accident?

He's supposed to be young Walt Simonson. If Marvel ever makes a Power Pack film, I'm sure those two will cameo as the Power kids' grandparents. That is, if Marvel bothers to make it ever.

Yeah, it does affect Lightspeed. Alex should be 24 by now (he was 19 before Secret Wars and the Future Foundation aged five years), but Julie is 19 (was 18 before Secret Wars, one year passed on Earth during the five years that passed for the FF) and definitely falls foul of that law (as does everyone else in the Future Foundation, except for Dragon Man). Of course, so do Katie and Jack, who are 13 and 15 I think?

Maybe they'll be lenient on Julie because she's a former alumni of Avengers Academy?

Acutally, Jack is somewhere between 16 - 17 years old & Katie is about close, since being 5 years young than Julie........

.....I guess we'll see what the situation will hold when OUTLAWED makes its debut...........

    Exclamation Future Foundation #5 (Spoilers)

And now.......the (unfortunate) Final Issue of the FUTURE FOUNDATION {#5}.........

    ..........spoilers:
The Issue picks up following the Previous Issue where the Maker destroys their ship, after Rikki kills the Maker (if you've read SECRET WARS, then you already know the current status of the Maker); anyway, Alex Power and
Future Foundation, plus Lyja (originally disguised as Yonda Udonta) finds themselves within a pocket dimension created by Bentley-23 and figuring out their next move. Minutes before, Julie was healed by the FF healing pod and was revived by same and used her powers to rescue the other FF members and saved Rikki from exposure to space and both Julie & Rikki shared a kiss between them, before falling into Bentley's pocket dimension. While the FF are working on a solution; Alex has Lyja explaining her situation as well as revealing her past and her connection with the F4 (Trust me it's a extremely long one if you don't follow the F4 series). Most of the FF found an invention that's made to work with both Franklin & Molacule Man......Fortunately, Lyja was able to shapeshift in Franklin & Rikki's bio-sigurute has some of MM's bio.........but Julie's using the Kymellian tranferance process to "borrow" Alex's gravity powers to control the Bentley's black hole marble {used to power the device} and allowing all of them to escape safely into the next world containin another piece of MM's energies......afterwards, the team are relaxing on a beach. The Series ends with Alex offering Lyja a place on the FF Team.
    end of spoilers

Also, it should be noted that the FF were also seen within HISTORY OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE #6.

    Whitley's post-mortem on FF

    2. Jeremy, fresh off of Wasp's cancelation, thought that they needed someone with a bit more star power since the members they were left with have a pretty big popularity gap between them and the Richards children. Julie was brought on board. He also added Rikki since he wanted to use her.
    3. They would bring the Future Foundation and a "guest lecturer." Reminds me of the Power Pack all-ages books Marvel published over a decade ago.
    4. Rocket was supposed to be in Yondu's place, but Rocket died that month.
    5. A recognizable FF villain was needed. Doom and Galactus were occupied with Slott. The Maker was brought in.
    6. Before Lyja, there was a convoluted Ultimate Sue and Ultimate FF involved, but that was nixed.
    7. Lyja is a controversial character and Jeremy knows it, but her storyline got the axe.

    Edit: There's more

    8. Issue 5 was different since, well, the book got canned. Hence why the romance felt rushed.
    9. Other stories we could have gotten: Ms. America teaches about dimensions, Doom being a guest speaker, and a Power Pack reunion
    10. Also, Alex/Lyja isn't a thing.

Yeah, Katie's on an Outlawed cover. I would therefore expect at least her and Jack to be involved. The entire Future Foundation will be if they come home too, Frank and Val are also shown here.

Odd that Katie would be listed as "identity unknown." Runaways established that the Power Pack are public figures and Marvel Comics 1001 only affirmed that.
