I would say all for of these characters are pretty close friends (maybe not Gambit and Psylocke) but they have been in each other lives for years and have been serving on teams together quite frequently in some combination. The four of them make a lot of sense together, and Rictor doesn't not make sense. Apocalypse is really the only one out of place.

Thank you Hi-Fi, the Legend.

Ha, this kinda works with that plane scene. Betsy then saying "just this once" and Rogue reminding her here what touching her means. Cute.

Rogue and Betsy are one of my favorite unfulfilled potential friendships among the X-men.

Gambit ate something rotten.

Cool, this is all such fun.
Me too, I think they've got so much funny potential, but also real deep dives into past trauma expositions.
I'm hoping Tini has noticed that Rogues had very similar psyche troubles as what Betsys just been released from, and I'm hoping Rogue has some pearls of wisdom for her, as to have Betsy not need to be guilt tripped for long. (Both in the marvel universe and out here - It wasn't her fault)
No one is denying these characters have history but theyre not exactly linked the way the 05 or ANAD crew are. Which isnt a bad thing in itself, interacting with different characters makes for interesting moments.
I wouldn't say Poccy is out of place. Gambit was a horseman and Poccy was interested in his unique heritage. Psylocke had a whole arc with Poccy related to Angel and the Deathseed so there is history there as well. A lot of story potential there related to those 3.
It's hard for me to listen to someone not in my position. A caterpillar can't relate to what an eagle envisions.
Apocalypse is sort of out of place, but isn't that part of the appeal? It's going to be fun to see him try and fit in.
