The title says it all. I'm re-reading Age of Apocalypse, a firm favourite. Out of recent events, Messiah War.

Messiah War was pretty cool, although the stuff with Hope and Cable wandering aimlessly through time dragged things down. Still, you had a lot of great character stuff: Warren and Apocalypse, X meeting Kiden again and not being able to pull the trigger, and later nearly killing herself to make sure she can put down the Leper Queen when she goes back in time, Deadpool was funny (and MAN I want to see more interactions between him and Laura, especially with Logan dead and her becoming Wolverine). Even Vanisher had some great moments, proving he's not ENTIRELY a selfish, cowardly little shit (I loved his interactions with Elixir throughout X-Force, really. The X-shaped tumor was hilarious).
Mutant Massacre followed closely by Fall of the Mutants.
So many to choose from I mainly love the ones with everyone involved regardless of quality I know.. I know...
But here's some of my favorites off the top of my head.
X-Men: Deadly Genesis (+ Rise and Fall of the)
X-Men: Messiah Complex
X-Men: Fatal Attractions
X-Men: Inferno
X-Men : The Fall of the Mutants
X-Men: Mutant Massacre
X-Men: Age of Apocalypse
Everything except Onslaught & HoM (Other than seeing that family united)

Mutant Massacar
Closely followed by Inferno
Xtinction agenda
Inferno
Fatal attractions
Secret wars I
Inferno
Mutant Massacre
Messiah Complex
Age of X gets an honorable mention.
Recent event: Dark Angel Saga
Others:
Age of Apocalypse and Mutant Massacre.
Ultimate War and Dark Angel Saga/Uncanny Avengers. AoA for classic tales.
It's a toss-up between AoA and O:ZT.
AoA (re)introduced my favorite X-Men character, Blink, and featured her as a badass teleporter.
O:ZT featured my former-favorite-but-currently-second-favorite-mutant Iceman (who also had a decent showing in AoA) and some BANGIN' art by Carlos Pacheco (whatever happened to Liquid! colors, anyway?).
Both win me over due to nostalgia factor, of course, but AoA might almost just edge out as a complete win due to Generation NeXt.
Did Messiah Complex have some of the best covers or what?
