Default Tales of the Batman: Marv Wolfman - recommend the material?

So as a mid 90s comic kid there has always been something intriguing about the kinds of stories with less typical takes on the character. Of course the only thing more horrifying than back issue prices is the inflation that happened to the Tales collections. Is this one anyone would recommend I snatch up? What are the positives and negatives of the content?

It's odd that they put the cover for DETECTIVE COMICS 411 on that collection. That was a one-off--a story Wolfman co-wrote with Len Wein--it just happened to have Neal Adams art. But Wolfman was never that important as a Batman writer. His biggest contribution was by way of the Teen Titans and what he added to Dick Grayson's story.

It's frustrating how they give collections to these guys that had shorter runs on Batman, but they won't do the same for long running Batman writers like Frank Robbins or David V. Reed

    Nevermind, I misread.

Every post I make, it should be assumed by the reader that the following statement is attached: "It's all subjective. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for you, and vice versa, and that's ok. You may have a different opinion on it, but this is mine. That's the wonderful thing about being a comics fan, it's all subjective."
