Real talk though, I headcanon that Magneto did that out of love, believing she would be in danger or be corrupted by his attitude if she grew up with him.

They know that it makes no sense to force the situation with Franklin. If he does not want to join them, there is nothing they can do. Trying to kidnap him would put them in direct war with the entire superhero community.

They can be insistent, very insistent, but not threatening.
