Another level quite frankly. The information pages were some of the most interesting even. So good.

Loved it really excited to see where this goes haven't been this interested in a new start since Manifest Destiny and the 91 relaunch with this being on par with my excitement in 91 and slightly higher than Manifest Destiny due to knowing how good Hickman can be.

    Prediction for Powers of X.

    spoilers:
Red Nightcrawler and Metal Magik are mutants who are born from Krakoa hence why they have access to various mutant powers and have similar features.
    end of spoilers

    I think it's a little creepy.

Also what are the limits of what it cures? Does it just make everyone neurotypical?

All of it is creepy. And story-killing, frankly. I don't like that entire thing. Mutants really shouldn't have anything to bargain. It actually cheapens the idea of humanity accepting them.

My luck: the storeholder did not receiver this weeks shipping.

    I am sad.

So I have 2 question to ask. Hope someone would like to answer.

How, when, where is this in time? Is it set in the past?

Who are surprise appearances or long awaited comeback?

Because Humanity will never accept them. Why would one species support and willingly accept another that's going to replace them. You're kind of missing the point here.

I think that’s kind of the point. They’re not looking for acceptance. Instead, they’re negotiating acceptance. It’s how nations deal with each other.

I dig it a lot. But yeah, there are absolutely creepy elements to it. And questionable ethics.

It is set NOW, but that is relative, I guess, so what we know is the probably at least 5 months or more have passed since UXM #22 (unless some of this stuff was being done behind the scenes).

That's what makes it so interesting to read and dissect.

It takes place in the "present" but it seems there was a time skip after AoX and UXM.

Karima, the Omega Sentinel, shows up as part of the group planning to counter-act the growth of mutants.

Huh despite Dissembled, AoX, and Uncanny being such dumpster fires the broad strokes of the pass decade of X-Men storytelling does give this new status quo some weight.

At one point Mutants were on there way to being the dominant species on the planet the Nova killed 16 million of them, the M-day happens, then the X-gene is reignited, then the Terrigen mist happens, then they stop that, then AoXm and the "cure" happens.

That's a possibility. But that settles the problem only for people who had the mutant gene.

There is still the issue of mutant/non-mutant couples.
Is Rictor allowed on the island, but his boyfriend isn't?
Same with Cannonball and his wife. If she stops working for the Empire and wants to settle on Earth with Sam, will they be allowed on Krakoa?
Did Wiccan get an invitation with a "PS: no Skrull/Kree allowed"?
Will Hellion at long last be allowed to bully Broo out of mutant's holy land?

What if Shogo doesn't have a mutant gene? Is Jubilee supposed to get rid of him?

And let's say all those people get a special permission to live there. Will they be second rate citizen, only allowed to use the Krakoa portals if they are with a mutant chaperon, like Saudi women with their male tutors?
