    Ajax-X

(I nearly went with LordMikel, but personally I think that is a VR suit rather than a spacesuit.)

I'm voting for PaulBullion. Fury in space by Steranko! Good enough for me!

Ravin Ray, very cool early Flash Gordon comic.

And thanks everyone for posting such great covers.

seismic-2 'cuz that cover proves Wally Wood was wasted doing anything other than designing spacesuits NASA or the Soviets.

Honorable Mentions this week go to: PaulBullion, kjn, worstblogever, ChadH, Kai "the spy", Enigmatic Undead, Greg Hatcher, and WestPhillyPunisher.

But my vote this week was for a cover that was rock-solid, courtesy of Jim Kelly:

It's for SUPERMAN’S PAL, JIMMY OLSEN No. 126 (January 1970), which went on sale November 25, 1969, some months after the first moon landing. And probably the earlist that comic artists would have had photographic reference they could use--you can see the LEM on the cover. Curt Swan and Murphy Anderson got almost everything right, but they messed up the Earth--it should be tilted 90 degrees, something anyone at the time would have known from having seen the moon landing the previous summer (as I had). It seems strange that Curt and Murph were so faithful in everything else but not that detail. Nevertheless, that cover makes me feel like I’m there on the moon.

It's been another week of great covers.

Iron Maiden gets my vote this week for reminding me of a show that I totally loved as a kid.

Honorable mentions go to Foxley and Ravin' Ray.

Two covers that came to mind, but didn't fit the contest guidelines.

This is a paperback book cover by Darrell Sweet

And this haunting Corben Creepy cover of an spaceman.
