As long as they function in isolation well enough I'm fine. I'll say that generally individual titles are better if they don't have to worry too much about what another book does. Sure, maintaining a pretense of there being a shared universe is arguably important but no book should have to dramatically alter course due to events that don't occur within its own pages.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.

Of course it just really comes down to personal taste. Personally I feel like Hickman is bringing a form of cohesiveness to the X-books that have been sorely missing for awhile now.

It is only Wave 1 though and right now they're focused on solidifying the status quo that spins out of HoX/PoX maybe some of the books in wave 2 or 3 will be more your speed.

What I want from satellites is for each of them to have their own unique concepts and teams. So far I'm only worried about the later, because it looks like Wolverine and Jean are already on double duty.
It makes sense to use Hickman's new status quo as the launching pod for the new books, so as long as each book tells its own tale within this new status, I'll be happy.

So Claremont now knows that Kurt and Meggan have slept with each other now. Lol. I was exposing what happened to Amara. So I mentioned the Nightcrawler series she was in in Age Of X. So that’s how it came out!
