    Default Golden Age Wizard (William Zard, foe of the JSA) Appreciation 2021

    First appearance = All-Star Comics #34 (April-May 1947)

    Though many years later his encounter with the JSA would be mis-remembered as part of 1985's America vs. The Justice Society #1 (Jan. 1985)


    Three issues after the Wizard's first encounter with the Justice Society of America, he would return as part of the Injustice Society of the World.

    The Wizard is my favorite JSA villain! I hope we see him again soon!

    The Wizard was involved in the story where the Earth-2 Superman (as Clark Kent) finally married Earth-2's Lois Lane.

    Back in the day, I really enjoyed the "Mr. & Mrs. Superman" stories that grew out of that issue of Action Comics.

    Agreed! Part of the beauty of E2 was giving some of the heroes a future that didn't interfere with their current ongoing stories.
