    AMAZING FANTASY #15 FACSIMILE EDITION
    Written by STAN LEE
    Penciled by STEVE DITKO
    Cover by JACK KIRBY
The landmark, industry-changing issue that introduced the Amazing Spider-Man! When high school wallflower Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider, his life is transformed — first for the better, then for the worse! With his new array of arachnid abilities — including speed, strength, agility and, thanks to his scientific know-how, spinning webs — Peter seeks fame as the costumed celebrity called Spider-Man! But his cavalier attitude soon comes back to haunt him, and shatter the lives of his beloved Uncle Ben and Aunt May! Peter Parker is about to learn a powerful lesson, one that has never been taught better than by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko: With great power there must also come great responsibility! It’s one of the all-time great Marvel comic books, boldly re-presented in its original form, ads and all! Reprinting AMAZING FANTASY (1962) #15.

    Thoughts:

    - It's cool the Abrams mini seems pretty focused on Peter and MJ, but I'm curious just how involved Mary Jane will end up being in this.

    - "lost the allies closest to him" - Does this include Spider-Man?

    - Miles interacting with Jonah and Silver Sable should be interesting, given they're much more closely associated with Peter.

    - I was not expecting Spencer to deal with Norman this soon. I was thinking he would deal with him way later in his run. I guess he wants Kindred to retain his status as de-facto Big Bad rather then get hijacked by the Goblin.

    - Marvel can't seem to make up their own mind whether The Amazing Mary Jane is a mini or ongoing. Is it a stealth mini? Or are they banking on it being really successful so it doesn't end after five issues? That being said, I'm really looking forward to the book, and "action, glamor, grit, and – we’ll say it – sass" sounds perfect for an MJ book.

    - Look, classic Nick Fury! He is remembered.

    - I expect Taylor to write a good Spidey/FF team-up.

    - I'm guessing Ultimatum brings in Ultimate Prowler to face off against Miles, and he now has a cape for movie synergy.

    - It's so weird to me that they actually seem to be trying to build a legitimate dynamic between Peter and Gwen. More surprising then dealing with The Jackal.

    - I wonder if all the different images on that Black Cat cover are meant to allude to the "other dimensions" aspect of the issue by focusing on various different fates for Felicia, either involving drowning, falling, burning alive, jail, serious injury, and anchored by Spider-Man? And does Johnny dating Felicia violate the bro code (any more then when Matt did it?).

    - I love all the Mary Jane variants. The one with MJ as Felicia's inept partner in crime is great, and I'd actually kind of like to see those two together in a comic again. But the Miles and Gwen ones are kind of weird on the level of being with characters she's barely interacted with in the comics.

Felicia going "what does he see in you" is hilarious.

I wonder if you can do a kind of Oceans 8 situation between Felicia and MJ, where they have to rob something for the greater good and MJ and Felicia plan a heist and put together a team. Like MJ can be the floor con who schmoozes and distracts people and so on.

Now I'm imagine Felicia yelling "YOU HAD ONE JOB!" at MJ. lol

I know it's kind of beating a dead horse at this point, but I'm not really finding much of a hook to the Abrams' mini series. I know it's just a vehicle to get JJ's son to write a Spider-Man comic, but all the solicits have really sold is Cadaverous is this totally threatening villain....which okay. Probably not helping that Nick Spencer is also mystery boxing his own Big Bad in the main Amazing title so it feels even more derivative.

Regulars on my pull list, The Amazing Spider-Man and The Superior Spider-Man. I'll likely be adding The Amazing Spider-Man: Full Circle to it.

That's impossible isn't it? Because Ultimate Prowler was Aaron Davis, who came to 616 when Miles did.

The October covers of MJ/Felicia and ASM 31 ( Norm and Spider-Man) are excellent. I have to say that Sins Past excluded I love Norm and ( or) Goblin stories ( Norm and Otto are my favorite Spider-Man bad guys), so I am looking forward to ASM 31. On Ghost Spider Gwen, I despise Jackal ( my least favorite Spider-Man baddie), but after the Clone Saga, I wonder what happens when he and ( for that matter Peter)"meet Ghost Spider Gwen?

I wonder if you can do a kind of Oceans 8 situation between Felicia and MJ, where they have to rob something for the greater good and MJ and Felicia plan a heist and put together a team. Like MJ can be the floor con who schmoozes and distracts people and so on.
Why do I suddenly imagine Felicia pulling a double-cross that leaves MJ having to explain things to the police and possibly getting arrested ?

Probably not helping that Nick Spencer is also mystery boxing his own Big Bad in the main Amazing title so it feels even more derivative.
It does seem to be a title that's riding more on the name of the creator then the actual content of the story.

Yeah, but we don't really know how Ultimatum's powers work as far as bringing in the Ultimate versions.
