A-Train may have been pathetic as a person, but the show accurately showed, on a consistent basis, just how broken superspeed is as a power.

Yeah, but Buffy took swipes from a bear. A BEAR!

I forgot about Starlight's close encounter with A-Train. The fact she wasn't turned into a puddle makes her even more durable, giving her a huge advantage over Buffy. Maybe Starlight vs. Glory would make for a closer fight?

Extremely fast. The falling sparks appear frozen to A-Train. Moreover, A-Train was dodging Starlight's light rays, which is something else entirely.

In the big race episode, A-Train ran around a track field (1/4 of a mile) in less than a second. A low-ball estimate clocks him at around 1,000 mph. He's obviously faster than that.

EDIT: I was mistaken. The scoreboard clocked A-Train running at 371 meters per second, which is 830 mph.

To be fair, A-Train by that point was suffering the aftereffects of being roided out. He was out of breath after just a couple of short dashes and he got a heart attack immediately after ramming into Starlight.

At the same time, Starlight wasn't really injured by the impact either. Her main problem was that she was out of juice to draw on in the immediate area as her power is amplified by nearby electrical sources.

All the same, all these things point to Starlight having a durability that's not really going to be something Buffy can especially deal with, certainly at that while attacks are coming in at her besides.

I thought it WAS a .50 BMG round that hit her.

...I have no idea; I don't watch the show. I read 'high-powered rifle round' - there's a rather huge range in that qualifier.

Billy used a Serbu BFG-50A. .50 BMG round is accurate.

I concede that Buffy doesn't stand a chance.

If .50 BMG rounds are basically knocking her down and taking away her wind, she's a tad too tough.

How strong is Starlight? From the clips I've seen she can hold a sedan up fairly comfortably and hits holes in brick buildings without braking a sweat. Buffy's tough, strength wise she may be outclassed. Starlight takes more damage, too - one bullet from a handgun/pistol can kill Buffy just like everyone else, as Warren discovered.

Just on the A-Train thing, not only was he travelling really fast, dude was also strong enough to drag a train behind him for a workout.

Starlight is far too durable for Buffy in my opinion.

Nevermind. I remember the scene now. Starlight is too durable. One can probably put her above MCU Luke Cage in that respect.
