Static's OG costume is easily one of the most iconic yet critically underrated costumes ever.
THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

    SUPERHEROOOOOO STATIC SHOCK WOOP WOOOP

It's an absolute crime that he doesn't have a comic right now.

From what I remember, the show was targeting a younger audience than the rest of the DCAU and yet it tackled topics that the rest of the DCAU usually didn't touch.

No matter how many reboots, new origins, reinterpretations or suit redesigns. In the end, he will always be SUPERMAN

I always liked this character. He's the best and most complete PoC character that's at all associated with DC Comics, IMO. What is a real crime to me is the lack of merchandise. Despite having a successful cartoon for a number of years, there was no toyline. Also, his cartoon, after who knows how many years, has just recently been released on any kind of home video format. Very bizarre.

From 2008, this is still the best Static Shock tribute video in my book.

I haven't seen DVDs or Blu-Rays, but I did see all seasons were on the DC Universe streaming service.

I find it interesting that as we see the final close up of his eye, it suddenly turns into an Anime-sh looking eye.

Man I miss this character and the cartoon show. Wish they would put out every season on Blu-Ray.

I really wish they'd do a reprint or digital release of the old milestone stuff.

While Young Justice's version was given a different origin and was an attempt to modernize the diverse cartoon only members of the Superfriends franchise with Static being a stand in for Black Vulcan, it was still cool to see him still being used and loved seeing him and Black Lightning work together in this scene. There's rumors that Static might appear in the next season of Black Lightning. *fingers crossed*
