Default The History of the DC Universe, revised, updated & illustrated (August 2019)

During my latest trip to limbo, I made the latest revisions, tweaks, and updates to my all-encompassing History of the DCU project. For those you aren't familiar with my little hobby, here's the lowdown:

This is an attempt to incorporate all incarnations of the DCU's continuity (including the best elements from TV, cartoons, movies & more) into one history that spans the entirety of DC's established mythology. If you have any suggestions, corrections, or ideas to improve it, please let me know and I will incorporate them into future revisions.

I’ve made a new addition to the epilogue to explain how this continuity approaches the Pre-Crisis Multiverse, particularly the more Hypertime-ish conception of the Earth-1/Earth-2 divide.

I’ve updated the post-Rebirth Multiverse to include the Arkham & Injustice games. Anything else you think should be included?

It's no trouble, really. I really dig this stuff, and I get to use it for my job, so I'm getting paid to do something I enjoy. Can't beat that

Glad you're enjoying it. Do you have any suggestions to improve it? I'm always looking for things to tweak or change to make it better.

First off, this is absolutely great. That said, there was something about it that was nagging at me, and I couldn't quiet put my finger on it until just now.

It's intensely Trinity-centric. You get the odd intruder here or there, like Flash and Parallax (and usually tied to some watershed event, i.e. Dr. Manhattan), but everything else frames DC's history strictly in terms of the big three and their auxiliaries.

    Was that a deliberate choice?

Are you talking about the entire DCU History or just the images I posted? Because those images are specifically meant to show the development of the Trinity across the decades. The history itself is about the entire DCU, with corresponding images related to everyone.

These images are meant to visualize how the timeline has been altered in order to its current “15 years ago” status quo.

This is focused specifically on the evolution of the non-Trinity heroes

My students were collectively outraged that I had forgotten to include Justice League Action in the Multiverse group pic, so I have updated it to include it. Enjoy.

Small nitpick, but I don't see Diana in her white outfit with I-Ching, her Kung Fu Master. That was a significant history in the life of WW, pre-Crisis.

Fear not, the white jumpsuited Diana Prince is indeed included in the Silver Age section. The above image is just the broad overview of the history not the full thing, so that particular era wasn't included there.

Here's the full history, which is far, far more exhaustive and covers everything that I could squeeze in.

This covers the Dawn of Time up to 1938

What do you think? I also added the Kirby Jimmy Olsen

This will be part of the next update. Am I missing anyone or anything important?
