LOL. I did not know that Swansea had the same owners of DC United. LOL, so for a time you were paying Wayne Rooney eh? but yeah I thought you'd be pleased when Cardiff lost and Swansea won. Surprised you didn't mention Stokes loss.

Saying that he's only a coach, not a manager so I'm assuming he's there to help out the young strikers they have there at most I doubt they'll have him telling the midfielders how to play for example LOL.

As for Portsmouth-Birmingham I'll have to check out the goals on youtube. As it stands it looks like there's a ''Cup Shock'' on the cards with Portsmouth being 2-0 up currently. Nice way for Pompey to bounce back after opening the season with a loss.

Also, Man Utd U21s are currently winning 1-0 at Rotherham in the EFL Trophy. I know it's not the main team or a ''big'' trophy but I'm sure WillieMorgan wouldn't complain if they won tonight, goalscorers name is a lad called ''Laird''.

There's been two now John. Portsmouth are 2-0 up going into half time. I'd recommend checking the 2nd one out on Youtube when it gets uploaded. A sweet volley well executed.

I've seen the goals. 3-0. Great night for Pompey fans and I agree about the second that was a lovely goal and easily goal of the game. Their new striker Harrison looks to be good in the air based on the fact his two goals were headers.

Good night for your youngsters as well WillieMorgan, 2-0 at Rotherham with Ramazani adding the second from Laird's opener. Tonight is the turn of the Liverpool youngsters when they go to Oldham tonight.

Linfield won 2-1 last night. Other than that the most memorable match was probably Ajax's 2-2 draw at PAOK Salonika. If I were an Ajax fan though I would be wondering why they're having to qualify given how they did in last year's competition LOL.

The way that outlying teams qualify for all the UEFA competitions, both club and international, is through a grading system of coefficients. It awards points for a team's performances across the previous five years of competition. The teams and nations with the highest points tallies automatically qualify into the main group stages of a competition, the others have to negotiate play-off rounds. That's what Ajax are currently doing. Despite last seasons heroics they are way down in 21st place in UEFA's coefficients table. By contrast United are in 10th place this year. Even though some club whose name escapes me won the Champions League last season they themselves are still in 7th place on this listing.

If you can believe it the top ranked club on UEFA's rankings are Real Madrid. That's through the number of Champions League titles they've won in recent years. It basically rewards all the big clubs and nations and pretty much ensures their places in the group stages provided they perform well enough in their domestic leagues. As a nation the Netherlands are surprisingly low down also. They sit at 12th place in the international standings. Ludicrous really for such a great footballing nation.

Goodbye Romelu Lukaku. I wish I could say it's been a privilege but that would be a lie.

A hugely expensive striker that couldn't even trap a ball effectively. Passing the ball to this guy often got the same outcome as kicking it straight at a brick wall.

Now we just need to see the departures of both Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba and I'll be happy. Very unlikely but you never know.

I understand how it's done I just find it strange for a club who had done as well as Ajax had last season are having to qualify, well at least they don't technically have to win in the second leg LOL.

Not long to get rid of Pogba before the start of the season which I find hilarious since he clearly buys into his hype and yet I've yet to hear of any solid bids for him. Lukaku...well he had his moments but he never really performed against the big teams when he was at Everton so I didn't think he'd do much for United, still 74m (which is what I've heard) is a pretty good price for him LOL.

Liverpool U21s lost 3-2 at Oldham last night so they couldn't copy Man Utd U21s unfortunately. On the plus side the new boy Elliott scored.

Celtic have an away goal advantage after drawing 1-1 at Cluj last night as well.
