Possible Thunderbolts movie; which team/era?

So apparently James Gunn wants to direct a Thunderbolts movie. Which team from the comics would be best suited for the silver screen if this were to happen?

If you had to mix up the rosters, who would you choose?

After watching GOTG I think the time bolts would work, but I like GOTG I wish the original team would be included in the movie.

I'd say the original team could work, mainly because it would be an interesting idea to bring to a movie, however I do wonder if Gunn has his own original pitch for the film.

In terms of what's possible for Marvel to do, it'd probably be closer to the original team. Sony and Fox could and do have rights to some of the characters, so there probably will be some mixing and matching. I would watch it though. I loved Guardians of the Galaxy... and it could be Marvel Studio's answer for Sony's Sinister Six movie.

I love the Ellis version but Osborn and Venom are out so it's not possible. Therefore, I'd go with the original team for the first movie. Then, I'd blend the Civil War eras (the OzBolts and Zemo's team) for the sequel.

The original team would be great, but I wonder how much of the twist would be ruined for non-readers by the media.

The latest team would work really well since Marvel has the rights to all of the characters save Deadpool and Venom. They could just sub-in a funny character and a shooty-assassin-solider.

As long as Zemo is in it as the leader, I'm in. Agree on Songbird as well, but I wouldn't mind Hawkeye branching out like the comics to lead them once the big reveal happens and Zemo gets kicked out.

Yeah, I imagine they would make a movie with this guys. Even thought all the movies they've been have bomb, they are known by the general public and seeing them together is going to spark interest. I would throw in there Songbird and Moonstone to replace Wade and Flash because why not?
