    Dont let people fool u,

There were alot of good Xmen comics in the 2010s.

    And alot of variety.

    Generation X for example.

A whole bottle of Vodka, but the idea was good and subversive. Better than the nothing Bendis gave

Even as a die-hard Gillen fan we may have to differ on that.

Plus, answering the OP surely Wicdiv is the best X-Men comic of this decade.

They basically said it. Jump from Morrison to Hickman without losing nothing. Even people on twitter were calling out Marvel way of marketing

Well you can't do a wicdiv without breaking some eggs. Sure it is harder to do with a big property like x-men.
what is the problem that Morrison can do what he wants but Gillen couldn't?

Everything would be better without Morrison. Without him we would only lose a disgusting relationship and Emma down our throats, it is not like she was worth all the trouble. Just another X-men

I would say about 65/70% were good objectively speaking. I may not have liked a lot of the teams but the story itself wasn't horrible. The real problem was that, for me, it never felt it was going anywhere. We would get a writer who had a vision things would change and then boom the next mass murder would reset everything so there was always a screen over the stories. Going back and reading some of them their much better than i thought, aside from a few power inconsistencies with characters Gischler run was actually pretty good. Too many vampires but overall not bad.

Is Bendis's run on x-men universally hated? I tried read children of the atom and didn't like the way he wrote cyclops (or time travel) so i stopped reading it. I also don't like the style of characters saying clever things to each other during a fight scene, that stuff was always obnoxious to me. The art was cool though.
A lot of people have some individual recommendations, but certain names/books keep getting mentioned.

So it seems like so far the list is:

    Good:
Simon Spurrier - Legion(Everyone really seems to love this guy)
Mike Carey - Lot of titles
    Kieron Gillen - Uncanny X-Men
    Rick Remender - Uncanny X-Force
    Cullen Bunn's - Magneto
    Wells - New Mutants
    X-23 - Marjorie Liu
All New Wolverine by Tom Taylor
    X-men Red/Blue

    Mixed Opinions:
    Jason Aaron
    Peter David - X-Factor

    Avoid:
    Bendis
    Hickman
    Anything recently published

    Individual Recommendations:
Rogue and Gambit books by Thompson / Asmus
Age of Apocalypse #1 - #13 by David Lapham
Brian Wood - X-men (But he's not a good guy?)
    Secret Wars: House of M
    All New x-Factor
    Kyle & Yost X-Force
Rosenberg's Astonishing X-Men and Multiple Man
    Uncanny Avengers vol 2
    Uncanny Avengers vol 3

That's a lot of reading folks. Thanks!

I love the Bendis run. Probably my third or fourth favourite ever? Battle of Atom I thought was trash but honestly stand by the rest of it. I said this here a few times, but it's important to know what to expect.

It's a hangout book. The big story ideas don't really go anywhere, and I'm fine with that because there are so many cool small character moments. It's like Dazed and Confused (movie). Great when you're feeling lonely.

He writes Scott, Magic, Emma, and Kitty really well.

I get why people hated Bendis on X-Men. But his style fits my sensibilities.

If you are also looking for solos, Old Man Logan by Lemire and Sorrentino is pretty good, at least until issue 13, after that everything is a mixed bag.

It has clunkers, but is very fun with consistent god-tier art. It just doesn't end because he left his books and the mediocre stuff after left his ball on the floor instead of picking it back up. It's a hella good succ, but no bust.
I don't blind date I make the direct market vibrate
