I think we're seeing Life X (10), but the normal reality is life XI (11).

The series will end with Moira returning in the main continuity, ready to avoid all the bad stuff that happened in the previous ones, knowing this is her last chance.

Well knowing she never died, Age of X could have had there real Moira on it.
    It would be crazy.

Hickman talked about Carey's run during promotion for these books, so there's a good chance he's read Age of X and is aware of "Moira's" role in it.

I love what this issue does for Moira. It paints her as one of the most important x-men characters, right along with Xavier and Magneto. It is a bit weird hat it alternates between Moira and Moria.
Also, Mystique and Destiny saved mutantkind on this. Very cool the relationship between Moira and Destiny, even more so because Moira means "Destiny".

She was thirteen. The initial sickness were her powers manifesting. Same that happened to Kitty, for example.

I think that a subtle hint that that was when her mutant power activated.

My interpretation is it does. However there are others here who have different theories. I guess follow whatever makes the most sense to you.

    What is the Moira/Xavier/Magneto schism?
That I am not 100% sure, but it could revolve around the Legacy virus when Moira was Magneto's prisoner. Haven't read that era in quite some time, so I do not remember the details.

That would be something! Very interesting theory.

Ah so its always been Moira. Which means Destiny, share, fate.

I think Hickman took some inspiration from her name for this story.

I liked the 'human' Moira, the straightforward woman… Because he X-men didn't have many relationships with humans and the fact that Moira was a important character without any superpowers, special features also had an appeal.
I find all of this confusing…
“Strength is the lot of but a few privileged men; but austere perseverance, harsh and continuous, may be employed by the smallest of us and rarely fails of its purpose, for its silent power grows irresistibly greater with time.” Goethe
