This is absolutely what I would call a game changer. Can't wait to see how this new revelation plays out, and I have to say that Hickman damn sure isn't messing around with his take on the X-Men. Fantastic issue.

I noticed something else. In spread showing her timelines, the current 10th Timeline shows she FAKED her death with Shiar Golem, THAT is something we did not now. That means Moira is ALIVE in the current Timeline still...She did NOT die of the Legacy Virus

THIS is how you reboot a M#(##(***ing franchise. Whoo. And if all that stuff happened in life 4 we don't even know the history of the x-men in life 10, but we do know the history of the x-men. *mind blown* 10 stars.

    Interesting story.

Weird for me to see this extreme ruthless side of Destiny. I was only vaguely familiar with her, but the main story I remember was her death when she's an elderly woman trying to get Mystique to smile & enjoy life, then she vows to make her laugh if it's the last thing she does. Mystique thinks about how Destiny won't ever get in her face or hair again, follows her instructions to scatter her ashes at sea, and the wind blows them back in her face which does make her laugh, and was the last thing Destiny did.

But seeing this scene, she's equally, if not more ruthless than Mystique, which makes it more understandable why she was the only person who could keep Mystique in check.

Moira has attempted to live the timeline 10 times now and she made changes every time. This current path appears to be her most successful so far, and there have been setbacks. She obviously chose to fake her own death at some point.
Right, I get that. But for all other life to start over every-time Moira dies...that does not sit well with me. For me to accept this, all 9 previous lives are still active and happening in now divergent/alternate time-lines, just without Moira.

The main thing I don't get at the moment is why such an old and experienced Moira would make the mistake of marrying Joe MacTaggart when Xavier goes off to fight in Korea. Makes me wonder if the marriage and birth of Kevin were a feature of the missing lifetime VI, intentionally recreated in X. Also, Deadly Genesis doesn't really make sense if Moira and Xavier are running a two-man con based on her advance knowledge of events.
I have to assume she is creating branches.

But her current life is the 616 and all the others are just sort of explanations of her retcon'd mutation and the things she learned to get where she is now. It's a rather neat trick, and actually brought up against another mutant power that would've given people endless speculation I think if they hadn't addressed it--what happens when reincarnation meets precognition. Evidently, Destiny's precognition is so absolute she can see alternate realities. Ordinarily I would imagine most would say the reincarnator becomes a big ol' pandoras box they can't figure out because they aren't bound by death's permanence like everybody else.
OK, I can work with this. Thanks!

Moira is over 440 Years Old...AND STILL ALIVE, confirmed in her Timeline Spread.

Important to note that both Proteus and Vulcan are omega mutants, and the latter only attained that power because of Deadly Genesis and House of M.

For all we know, her consciousness could have been shunted to another dimension where Time moved slower and she was just conceived each time she died, that would mean all the previous dimensions would have continued on without her while she was stuck in what felt like a perpetual cycle. It would be pretty easy to explain that the more alike Dimensions are the closer to each other they are, thus however her mutation works would naturally seek the most like dimension to start her life again.

The other way to look at it is that Moira is actually over 440 Years old, that is the total of all the years from her 10 Timelines and counting since she is STILL ALIVE in Timeline #10.

Otherwise, I cannot make sense of this.
I don't think so. I think that's the whole point of her mutation and what destiny said about things warping around her but she couldn't really see her. I think Moira's power isn't simply going back in time but rather she warps everything around her. Sort of like an internal reality manipulation. So i think Moira literally resets everything back to the day she was born.

    I loved this.

    Moira X, the first Claremazon.

Though Hickman screwed up the current timeline, right? Moira "died" before Cassandra exploded Genosha.

Die Live Repeat. basically an edge of tomorrow? so moira is reborn and resets the timeline

I think Hickman is saying this is a new timeline. The phoenix 5 happened in life 4.

    Theory:

Supposedly the 10th life is the one we read in comics, the one Moira married Mactargget and had Proteus.
BUT, we have some incongruousness in the timeline: Moira and Charles recruiting Erik, 2 years between their schism and Genoshian genocide, Moira faking her death after that.
So everything happening in House of X and Powers of X is NOT "our" timeline, Hickman really rebooted the X-men in na different life of Moira.
Some could think 4th life is the original one, but Moira and Charles have never married.
So I guess 6th life is the one we used to know, and Rosenberg was not wrong when he said he was writing the last X-men story.

No, she didn't. Mystique killed her in Dream's End, before Morrison.

Wonder if that's the mistake JDW was talking about here: https://twitter.com/cracksh0t/status...60152723898368
