Destiny said that she had 10-11 lives, and ALSO, mentioned that killing her before her powers activated (when she was sick at 13) that it would break the cycle, intimating directly that's WHY she would only have 10-11 lives and not an infinite number. If she dies before she's 13 it's OVER.

So there are two things to notice here. First, is Destiny telling Moira she will only have 10 or 11 lives what actually causes Moira to only have 10 or 11 lives since Moira will now try to find the best possible outcome thinking her time is finite?

Second, does Destiny tell Moira about dying before manifesting powers as a threat? Or again to lead her to that decision that results in only 10 or 11 lives?

It's something else after the last years of "God, I can't wait for this plot line to end" or "I'm really just waiting to see how this ties into the stuff they just announced".

HoX/PoX have been an amazing read, in general. It's cool to have something new and interesting to appreciate every Wednesday.

Adulthood and fatherhood has robbed me of being a regular reader of my beloved X-men and forced me to buy the collections over time to keep up with them. This? This sounds like I need to start buying comics again every week.

The implication of this really is stunning.
Assuming no other being has Moira’s powers, her experiments make her a godlike being.
Her choices to not be a passive participant affect the whole Marvel Universe, not just X-men.
I like that Hickman built in the 10 lives limitation.

So I just got done reading this again. My god....I still can’t wrap my mind around just how good this issue was.

I am hoping for the story to continue pass the point where Charles reads her mind. Would love to see where that conversation goes from there. Hoping they don’t skip pass that moment.
