It's weird to have one of these lists with so many X-Men actually accounted for. Especially so many in one book.

Is Sunfire anywhere on the list? I don't think we got confirmation on Triage's death. And we could probably throw Christian Frost onto the misc. list.

I feel like we could pare down the missing humans to the ones who still have either immediate questions or dangling plot threads. Like, Yukio potentially has unfinished business with Storm and is part of Wolverine's tertiary supporting cast of ninjas. Kyle is Northstar's husband. Amanda Sefton has a dangling plot with Nightcrawler still floating around in small-L limbo. Prodigy is an on-again/off-again X-Man. Eric is a poser who keeps turning up with mutants. And so on. But I feel like characters like Opal and Trish are in there with Stevie Hunter, Nurse Annie, and Charlotte Jones in that they've kind of served their purpose. It'd be nice to see some of them again, but I don't know if they've got enough going on in the franchise to really be considered missing.

Oh crap! I had a depowered Triage under the “Humans Aligned with Mutants” banner but forgot to remove him from the other list. Sunfire’s missing but I think he might be a supporting character in Avengers or Agents of Wakanda.

Should we have a “Humans In Krakoa/Krakoa-Aligned” type list? I’d like to think there will be more emphasis on human allies and mutantkind as a unit in this new era.

    ———————————————————————

    Non-Mutant Allies/Depowered Mutants

    Agents of Wakanda: Broo
    Excalibur: Brian Braddock
    Doctor Doom: Christoph Nord
New Mutants: Starjammers - Ch'od, Corsair, Hepzibah, Raza Longknife
    Valkyrie: Faiza Hussain

    Missing

Non-Mutants Aligned With Mutants and/or Depowered Mutants: Adrian Corbo, Alejandro Montoya, Amanda Sefton, Amiko, Andy Gardner, Angel Dust, Angie Williams, Ankhi Gottberg, Beatta Dubiel, Briar Raleigh, Buford T. Hollis, Cain Marko, Carter St. Croix, Charlotte Jones, Christian Cord, Christopher Aaronson, Colin Ashworth, Colin Hume, Dallas Gibson, Danger, Doctor Hunter, Donyell Taylor, Eric Gitter, Fatale, Gabrielle Haller, General Reyes, Harry Morrell, Helena St. Just, James Marks, Jared Corbo, John-John, Jonadab Megyscol, Kubark, Longshot, Maria Cortés, Marie D'Ancanto, Melody Guthrie, Miranda Leevald, Nils Styger, Opal Tanaka, Pantu Hurageb, Paul Hark, Peter Corbeau, Renee Majcomb, Rina Patel, Sadie Sinclair, Sean Watanabe, Sofia Mantega, Valerie Cooper, Yukio

In Memorium (Mutantz Only Pt. 2)

I don't know if there will be more emphasis, but I'm thinking those relationships will definitely stand out more given the circumstances. But it would be a pretty short list. Like, that would potentially be Shogo, Kyle, Smasher and son, and Karma's siblings? I dunno. I think your categories are fine, just discussing if some of the entries are too tenuously connected at this point to get hopes up over.

Madison Jeffries is missing. Was a teacher in the alternative reality of XMan that ended a few weeks ago, but may have been a creation of Xman. Before that last time he was seen was Bendis Iron Man, the Riri book.

    edit: Empath is also missing

You have no idea how relieved I was to discover my little man Evan in that splash page at SDCC or wherever it was. I'd been dreading his inevitable short-sighted grimdark demise for years and had worried that alt universe death in the latest dumb event I didn't read would stick.

When was the last time we saw Charlotte? I could swear I recall her turning up in Claremont's Reload. Stevie I know is now a pro-mutant congresswoman as of the recent books.

Is Amanda now an evil sorceress like her mother? Why do I keep thinking that?

We all know most recent mutant deaths are likely not going to stick. The question is how far back that goes. We'll know if we start hearing static about, say, Destiny or Synch.

The last time I remember seeing her was during the Chuck Austen parrot-wolf storyline. I feel like she's shown up more recently than that, but I can't put my finger on a storyline. Maybe I'm thinking of X-Men Forever.

Last time we saw her, she and Kurt were fighting Margali, who'd gone down the path of evil (again). Amanda got lost in between dimensions at the end of that one.

I'm thinking that's all going to be tied back to Moira somehow. But I suppose we'll see.

Trinary and Darwin aren't up there, and Gentle should be with the unaccounted for X-Men, not misc.

From that final issue cover, I wonder if that will be the roster for the foreseeable Champions future. Love Zub’s run but, personally, I hope she just goes to Krakoa with the rest of her friends.
