We only know 1 set of 5 so far...and it is overly defensive.

I wonder, if you were in charge of the breeding pits, what powers would you use and why?


Me, i would want a controller to manipulate the battle field
Avalanche (earth quakes)
Storm (weather)
Magneto (magnetics)
Exodus (teleport)
Elixer (healing)

Then a quick striker
Gambit (kinetic bombs)
nightcrawler (teleport)
Firestar (microwave blast)
X23 (regen)
Psylock (psyknife)

I guess it would also help to put the 1-5 numerical value onto our Chimera's powers that way we know what powers they're most/least efficient in.

Firestar (fire)
Storm (wind)
Iceman (ice)
Washout (the Weapon X member who manipulated water)
Petra (earth)

I would create Destruction, with the combined powers of;
Vulcan (omega energy powers)
Havok (blast)
Cannonball (fastness and unvulnerable)
Sunspot (plasma power set)
Polaris (magnetism)

I would create Battlefield, containing
Cyclops (blast, tactict)
X23 (fastness, healing and claws)
Indra (protection shield and armory)
Banshee (Sonic screem)
Magik (sourcery and teleportation)

I would create Steath, combining;
Kwannon (Psy kniife and Ninja skills)
Cipher (can disappear and phase)
Cecelia Reyes (shielding)
Spiral (magic and teleportation)

Ooh, combining Shaw and Bishop is a great example of synergy, as it turns their individual attack-absorbing self-buffing powers into a more complete package. Having a baseline level of super-strength/toughness from Proudstar, and regeneration from Creed, only getting even tougher as he gets hit, just is the icing on the cake.

Isn't Invulnerability and Shaw and Guido's absorb energy antisyngery? The harder you hit Shaw wouldn't harder he hit you back? Wouldn't Invulnerability/super strength lessen the force of kinetic energy taken in right?

I just discovered that Emma Frost and Polaris chimera is called "North" by the Polar Star, which marks the way to the Earth's magnetic pole.

Basic laws of physics say no. Being Invulnerable doesn't mean you don't get hit less hard, you get hit just as hard, you are just effected by it less. If I took a hammer and hit a wooden block and then hit a metal block, they both receive the same energy transfer from the hit, the metal just holds up against it better.
