Interesting. The implication was that these stories were supposed to be set in AF's past, but the preview looks an awful lot like Heather fighting off a home invasion to keep her and Mac's kid safe.

Also, I love Talisman's new costume. Let's keep this one.

Ah, so the article clarifies this is about "tying up loose ends". Maybe that first story means we're finally going to see the character assassination from from the 2011 series addressed.

Anyone think one of the creative teams involved here could end up doing a new ongoing?

If Zub does, it would be interesting to see him bring in Snowguard (Champions is cancelled, so she'll need a new home, and even if it comes back I suspect she'll be gone) - she named herself after Snowbird and Guardian, so seeing her get some proper interaction with them would be great. Especially since Snowbird basically has the same powers.

I expect this is testing the waters so far as receptivity for a new ongoing, yeah. Of the three writers on this project, I'd expect Zub or Brisson would be the ones most likely to helm an ongoing. Either one would be good, but I'd prefer Zub. I've seen both of these guys handle Alpha Flight prior to this, and I just like Zub's take better.

It's not new. Debuted in Champions #20. Here's the design sketch by Sean Izaakse.

Yes, I saw that post too. It's still her most recent look.

What’s with the circle over her left eye?

Pretty excited for this, should remind the shop to pull a copy for me. Hopefully they'll host a signing for the book around the release date.

I'd assume it was crude approximation of shadow on the design sheet as it doesn't appear to be in the pages shown here.
Continuity, even in a "shared" comics universe is often insignificant if not largely detrimental to the quality of a comic.
